anyone intending on going to ADFA????i'm interested in talking to people who want to go, what they are doing to prepare tehmselves, what they want to study etc....

I had two friends apply for ADFA. They didn't make it in though. I think what you study depends on what you want to get into. I guess study physics so you can become a mechanic or whatever. You also have to do a physical so you have to be fit and all that. Besides that I don't know.

if you go to ADFA you will you be an officer in either the Army Navy or Air Force you wont be a member of the reserves... so yes you will be in the full time defence force

I'm goin to ADFA!!! sooo excited!!!

as for preparing myself...I've taken up soccer coz they love ppl who are in teams...i also do yoga and bellydancing...lol...i know bellydancing sounds stupid but man it builds up ur stomach muscles!!! yeah...oh and i walk every day and I do gym!!! my brothers friend joined and he said that you need a group sport cos everything is group orientated so yeah...

as for study I'm going to be taking a bridging course in mathematics cos i did general this year ad you need mathematics in the navy...also I'm doing advanced english and 2 social sciences(is that what they're called???)!!! they're not much else I can do...I just gotta work my ass off to get a good UAI!!!

I'll be a seaman officer as well - specialisation navigation. so you'll know then that navy officers dont go to ADFA until the second year? we spend a year at HMAS Creswell learning about the NAvy and actually spent six months in the fleet. as a result we are commissioned officers when we get to ADFA and actually get paid more.

I'm starting at Wollongong this year (B.Sci) but applying to transfer to adfa for 2005 - just doing Arts (history) - but I hope to become a Navigator/Airborne Tactician in the RAAF, so, fingers crossed I get in But good luck kids

..Just as an afterthought, why doesn't ADFA have it's own sub forum? I mean, It's a pretty big part of UNSW, you'd think they'd get a sub forum too... Mods?? Please

i'm doing NEOC this year and then starting ADFA next year. i was appointed on friday which was cool......
