Kipz speaks the truth, NOT being able to prove something DOESN'T exist is no real problem in logic. It's when you CAN'T prove that something DOES exist that you have a real problem.

This thread is so dumb.

ATHEISTS DONT KNOW HOW THE EARTH CAME ABOUT; THATS THE POINT OF BEING AN ATHEIST. YOU DON'T KNOW.

To try and make an atheist definitively prove how the Earth was formed is so dumb.

EDIT: this response requires smileys.

CAN A THEIST EXPLAIN TO ME HOW GOD MADE THE WORLD CAME ABOUT? I'll measure the response to that question before I offer my own to this.

Hey can any people from an Abrahamic religion explain how the earth was formed citing any evidence other than genesis?

Okay....

a) Post-hoc interpretations don't prove anything other than how flexible a piece of literature can be.
b) Some of these discoveries were already made... and we knew they were made, by man.
c) A lot of things have other explanations... i.e. There were pagan ideas of humans being created in water, it has nothing to do with the knowledge that our bodies are mostly water...
c) You make enough claims you'll get SOME right.

"He caused you to grow from earth"
[chapter 11 - verse 61]
"We fashioned you from soil."
[chapter 22 - verse 5]

But the general scientific consensus is that life began in the ocean...

EDIT: Wait, nevermind, it even contradicts itself in this regard.

Have you actually read the qur'an? did you even bother to look up those verses before you posted them? they're either horribly mistranslated, or blatantly edited. Despite this, theyre still about as insightful as id expect some sandniggers in 700BC to be.

We are all born as atheists.

It is due to social conditioning that we formulate this idea of 'god' and 'culture'. Creationism is the mythology behind these ideas, concerning the prime motivator of everything, 'God'.

But the burden of proof lies with those who believe in God NOT the atheists.

Atheists are varied, there is no distinct ideology all atheists follow. They are either non-religious or deny the existence of God.

How did the earth come about? That's why we have science. We're trying to find an applicable answer rather than affirm that it all started off with something highly improbable (Judeo-Christian God), which results in a vicious infinite regress.

If only we could prove God with mathematical induction lol!

At any rate, I think it's a concern that atheists continue to evolve while the religious don't! :)

Conics2008, what you said was essentially verbal seppuku. Hehe.

The atheist responses to those verses I posted is the reason I hardly debate religion anymore. They gave no reasonable responses, just bashed it, like the ignorant fucking idiots atheists are. No amount of convincing will convince an atheist, whose mind is already made up and whose eyes are blindfolded.

I will respond to these statements though:

a) Post-hoc interpretations don't prove anything other than how flexible a piece of literature can be.
Are you implying that the verses are mistranslated? No, they aren't.

b) Some of these discoveries were already made... and we knew they were made, by man.
1400 years ago people thought the earth was flat. 1400 years ago most people couldn't read. I doubt that people knew about the formation of the universe or the finer details of the origin of man.

c) A lot of things have other explanations... i.e. There were pagan ideas of humans being created in water, it has nothing to do with the knowledge that our bodies are mostly water...
So? This explanation is one backed up by modern science.

c) You make enough claims you'll get SOME right.
There were three claims. All you retarded atheists demand is proof, and I have proved to you that the Quran contained the principles of the Big Bang theory and direct references to human evolution; and it has been proven to be 1400 years old. Just concede the fucking point.

You know what, sometimes (always) I think about how it would be great if everyone just accepted other peoples beliefs, and questioned and discussed them in a fair and considered way. Then I think about how condescending, arrogant and narrow minded pretty much every atheist I have met is and realise it isn't going to happen.

Just because somebody isn't stupid enough to need empirical proof of something does not mean they are below you or retarded.

Comments like this:
At any rate, I think it's a concern that atheists continue to evolve while the religious don't! :)
Is just really uncool. I would rather live in a country where everyone was open minded and thoughtful and all believed in a sky-wizard than a country where everyone was an arrogant atheist prick.

I am a Deist, but am sympathetic to theists. I can't believe that some little pseudo-intellectual 17yo from BoS has the gall to insult a person for what they see as irrational beliefs, when that very same person essentially believes that the earth and the complexities of this insanely well designed universe were created by chance, for no fucking reason and from fucking nothing. No amount of scientific explainations and/or tongue twisting crap will diverge from this.

Personally, I find a creator more rational than matter appearing from nowhere and somehow creating all this. Then again, if God really was the source of such ignorant people i.e 99% of the atheist kingdom then I might just become an agnostic.

As expected, the classic roundabout argument from the athiest when he cannot answer a question. Science cannot solve the fact that something cannot come from nothing. To believe that the amazingly detailed earth and universe created itself is to defy common sense.
