umm how am i blaming you? im just saying u have no right what so ever to

judge my parents on their desisions. would it ever occur to anyone that this

guy is genuine? all im trying to say is, no one has the right to judge ANYTHING

until they have personally met all of those involved. My first post was asking

what ppl think of the situation, i wasnt asking for disrespectful judgements.

thanks

Actually most of the posts are fairly sound opinions.

If you don't like them, don't post about it to begin with.

Also, maturity does matter and age is certainly a factor in maturity.

Well, if you and your parents are cool with it, whatever we think is irrelevant. Go for it.

See thats why we say 17yr olds are immature. Of course we have the right to judge your parents decisions. From the information we have been given the only conclusion is that they are bad parents, or are making a bad decision. Either that or you lied to them about some key evidence, or they are failing to speak up because they don't want to lose you.

Although you might think he is genuine, it seems unlikely to us. Oh in the other thread, this girl also said she doesn't use condoms with him because she doesnt think he has STDs[even though he is 28 and probably had lots of sexual partners so theres no way you can know that unless he has been tested].

Do your parents know you are fucking a man more than 10 years older than you?

I think under 16's considered minor. Between 16-18 is in limbo like 'teenager'.

wrong. Under 18 is a minor. Although its legal for her to sleep with whoever she wants, shes still a minor and i think in this case its an adult taking advantage of a minor.

Really? Strange, when i did legal studies laws such as the Minors (Property and Contracts) Act 1970 (NSW) stated it was up to the age of 16. *shrug*

You do realise there are major maturity differences between you? i am not saying your immature at all, but he is 28 and he knows what life is all about. I can guarrentee school teaches you nothing of life. Anyway his expectations will be presumably different from yours, as will his views. Its not about the age difference, but the difference in "levels"; you are still in school, presumably living at home and dependant on your parents. He is 28 and (hopefully) self sufficient. What i am saying is that yous are from different worlds and he really shouldnt be dating someone so much younger than himself. Older guys tend to date younger women because they are naive. Just be careful
