It seems this thread has turned into a troll thread so I won't bother.
Nonetheless, the facts remain. Islam is the fastest growing religion through converts and birth rates.
The dogs may bark but the caravan moves on.
just because it's the fastest growing doesnt mean it's necessarily right

as nolan said, ad populum is no good m8

Correct,
No one on Earth can say which religion is correct! No one!
It remains that if you find the teachings within a religion something you want to follow for your own good, then you either convert to continue following. Judaism and islam are similar in this fact. Christianity is different today. People say they are christian because their parents told them.. not because they actually want to be it. They probably dont even know about jesus, and they call them selves christians.

Sorry, ive always been a critic of christianity, it makes absolutely no sense, and full of contradictions. In my opinion the only religions worth even thinking about are islam and judaism. Atheism isnt a religion but thats also something logical to look into. The rest are full of immense contradictions and complete bullshit.

considering they all share a lot of the old testament they're all pretty contradictory.

SOURCE
Youtube is also full of videos about converts so feel free to browse.

A recent source... a reliable source? Demographic information, Mosque attendances and donations... That kind of thing is a source. YouTube videos are not a source

The amount of wrong statements in this is bizarre.

1) The true religion (or lack thereof if that's the case) can say that it is the correct one... because it IS the correct one. Just converting and believing in something means jack if it's false... while it may bring you peace and a purpose it's going to useless if you die and find out you were epically wrong.

2) Christianity is not "different today"... It's always been like that. It's a sad fact. Even as a Christian I think in some ways that Hitchens and Dawkins are right to say that a child is not a Christian child, but a child of Christian Parents/influence... at least until they are old enough to understand what is going on in their world and the alternatives. You are a Christian if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord (among other things)... not if your parents were one. That is what is generally refferred to as a cultural Christian. But yes they know little about Jesus

3) I hate to tell you this... but you're an idiot.

Christianity makes more sense than Islam or Judaism. Firstly because Judaism points to Christ as the Messiah... to deny Christ is the Messiah of the Old Testament... well yea.. a few hundred prophecies say otherwise.

The worst part of Christianity is the confusing nature of old testament Brutality and our previous enslavement to a strict law so as to be saved (sacrifices, all those brutal laws, cleansing of the wicked etc etc)

Post your so called Contradictions please... and not a massive list of apparent contradictions from a Website... ones that YOU have found and see as contradictions.

In both Judaism and Islam, your deeds are what saves you... There is no surety of whether you are saved or not. You have to balance your sin with sacrifices/good deeds prayer etc...

Christianity there is surety to your salvation

Honestly, Muslims will be nuked before they're a major part of any Western society.

It just won't happen and I think Muslims should stop saying it will.

You can't say which religion is correct but you can say which are incorrect. All of them. Religion is an invention of man to entrench their power, this is the case regardless of whether or not god exists.

God lacks merit for this reason aswell:

God created the Heavens and the Earth. He saw that it was good.
But, there was a snake in the garden. God has power over every sub-atomic atom in the universe. He knows everything that will ever happen. How could God have a Earth that is good, but have the snake in the garden, unless ;

1. God is not entirely good, and his perception of good is confusing.
2. God does not have the power to stop the devil (evil, or the snake, w/e you want to call it)
3. He is not omniscient, or he would never have made the universe, (being omnibenevolent) because he would understand that his universe is corrupted with evil.
4. All of the above.

God cannot be Omniscient, Omnipotent or Omnibenevolent in this situation. His actions contradict his characteristics. God (being truly omnibenevolent) would have never created the universe if it was going to harbor evil. More than that, he has not stopped evil. One would assume that if evil can enter The Bible without proper explanation, it cannot be destroyed either. God allowed evil to enter HIS universe, so where does his omnibenevolence lie?

And for those Nay-Sayers, who say that 'We have free will, DURR HURR', we do not. Our entire existence is pre-determined, and if that isn't proof enough, you do not know if God intervenes in your life.

God has no merit because his characteristics contradict him. Free will cannot exist if every sub-atomic atom has a pre-determined purpose.

The Abrahmic god is omnipotent and omniscient.

The fact that he is omnipotent means that nothing he does involves any challenge or effort, and his omniscience means he knows the consequences of his actions before he takes them, meaning he never has to risk anything or take any chances.

This being the case, god is without merit.
The only difficulties he has ever encountered have been self-imposed.
Nothing he does is noble or "moral".

Discuss.
Oh wait I'm Omnipotence.

Your logic is unsound for a few reasons. Firstly, if you're within Biblical philosophy and theology, and using the Bible and its events as evidence against God you have to take the whole Bible as evidence (otherwise you're taking it out of context and we all know out of context evidence is not the kind of evidence free thinking intellectuals use)... and if you DO use the Bible as evidence you forget the master plan of Salvation. Letting Satan and sin into the world was all part of the plan. It was how he let us choose...

"But Oh we don't have free will because our entire existence is pre-determined".

If you make the claim of an omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent, omnibenevolent (yet just) God... then he would in essence be capable of predetermining every particle of dust in the universe and its course throughout the millenia, while at the same time giving us free will, while at the same time creating a rock so big he couldn't lift it then lifting it anyways, while baking a burrito so big he couldn't eat it then eating it anyways...

Omnipotence means ALL powerful, not really powerful... it means that nothing is outside your power

Oh but by the way we're not supposed to understand his nature, so good luck not pissing him off.

Face it, your religion makes exactly zero sense.
TRUST. You took this topic into a pisshole for religions, you pathetic atheist bigot. We have threads for that already, and we dont need you to necro them. Necrophilia is against religious law and your precious 'secular' law.

More importantly;
1. God defies logic (by definition, as god = supernatural = beyond earthly = earthly limits taken to be laws of nature = beyond science = beyond logic)
2. You cannot apply logic to God
3. Therefore where a discontinuty of logic exists God exists. (I just begged the question, and thats where i win - the premise of god IS begging the question so therefore we will always win based on the definition of God)
4. Above statement made no sense therefore god exists
5. I just defied the laws of logic, therefore I am God.
6. I can render your arguement invalid by FORCE OF WILL!

Commence Flaming and general wastage of time while i study for HSC :p
