Your teaching put D for question 2? Surely that is A, I haven't heard anyone think otherwise.

Anyway, my answers:

1. C
2. A
3. D
4. B (not sure)
5. B
6. C
7. B
8. A
9. A
10. A (possibly C)
11. C
12. C (possibly B)
13. B (possibly D)
14. B
15. B (possibly C)

Despite being disturbingly specific, commercial cookery question was alright. I didn't mind that legislation question either, I guessed my years and got them right.

Short answers were a bit hit and miss.

please tell me that the yellow short answer pages were one sided

cos i was thinking that part was too simple.. then walked outside and realised that maybe they were double sided and started fretting

did it in trials with sen sci after finishing the 3 hour exam in 90 minutes - ended up getting top of the grade

stupid conscience.
haha yeah i actually thought that too..ooh shit but nah im pretty sure they werent double sided

OK...I'm pretty sure these are right....I have done some research into the confusing ones to make sure
1) C - ooops!!
2) A - it's the only one to do with 'environmental health'
3) D - yes you need action, but you need these 3 things first I reckon...then action
4) B or D - sadly I think it's D :(
5) B - definitely - the key is the word "soiled"...could be contaminated etc
6) B - C is too hot
7) B
8) A
9) A
10) C
11) C
12) B
13) D - the only one that is found in soil, unwashed veg and animal bowels
14) B
15) C - straight out of the syllabus!!

I am pretty sure these are right....which means I got 13/15...oh well, could be worse I spose!!

4 is A
Bin cards are used to record the movement of stock from the store. The card should be attached to each commodity storage vessel (bin) in some way and must be kept up to date.
The bin card may also show details of UNIT SIZE and an ITEM NUMBER may be designated.

I find it hard to believe 6 is (B)
Dry goods, rice, grains etc so at room temperature or thereabouts.
Not many rooms at 5 - 10C.
(C) seems more logical.
aaahhh..well got at 13 maybe 14..

From HSC online - dry storage should be less than 15 degrees...and less than 5 degrees is for cold storage...

what happens if you get a year wrong for legislation?
or get the name wrong but the year right?
for example, i wrote anti-smoking act 2000... when it's the Smoke Free Environment 2000..

i was the only one left in the exam room with half an hour to go.. there's 4 people in my class.. should i be worried about rankings and what not?
meh..
it's over!!
two more..
just so u no the rank in hospo means nuthin hsc
onli coz its a vet cource
wat eva u get in the exam is wat u get 4 ur hsc mark, no matter wat ur rank or assessment mark is
gudluck :]
