Lynn does like some speculative fiction - Sherri S. Temper's "Sideshow" being a good example (Lynn regrets bringing up Temper so often but it is the most "deep" fantasy book she likes, as Eddings is more entertaining than anything else), but figures that it depends on her mood. If she feels like deconstructing - no, analysing - a text, she will and can, but if she simply wants to read, well then, Lynn wants to READ. If not a spifflingly good fantasty novel, then a good historical drama like Meredith Riley or "Witch of Colonge".

Amber agrees, and wishes her avatar was even half as good. However it is only a pic of herself, which probably doesn't rate all that highly on the cool-avatar scale, as she has only ever recieved one rep point for it hehehe

Justin states that he took that photo himself and was quite proud of it. It has no meaning, but thinks it was a particularly good shot. He occasionally switches it with the photo he took of a can of Diet Coke or one he took of himself pulling a stupid face.

He is pretty sure the Diet Coke one can be found in his profile.

Justin comments that Tennille has had a number of comments about her avatar, most of them coming in the form of rep points.

Lynn has her heart set on a Bachelor of Creative Arts at Macquarie University. She is not sure whether to major in Creative Writing or Drama and Performing Arts. Lynn would have liked to do Dance as her major but that would have required much transfer and training in UNSW for first two years, which Lynn feels is just too fiddly.

Lynn likes to write, however particularly in moments such as now, she is hit with reality that she would never, and could never, write incredibly deep and meaningful novels - her style is much more Jeanette Winterson (who she loves).

Lynn is equally wary of majoring in Drama and Peforming Arts. Lynn has been told many times by amatuer actors that she should do drama (as Lynn has very strong stage presence and personality), but has been told once by actor-to-the-bone friend (who she respects and trusts highly to tell the truth) that she is not a natural actor, which Lynn actually agrees with (Acting is very internal, Lynn feels, not all that suited to an extrovert such as herself). Lynn thinks she has capacity to learn drama on the go but does not feel that it is truly her thing - she vastly prefers dance and singing.

Lynn is feeling insecure about major, and does not relish the feeling.

Justin would personally choose writing, as that is his own passion. He suggests that Lynn do whatever she enjoys most, as there are career opportunities in both areas that might not necessarily involve acting or writing novels.

Justin believes that a good story comes with a lot of experience in writing. Talent is good to have, but it needs to be exercised before it means anything.

Marcus believes that Lynn should write how she wants to write, and that she shouldn't care about others judgement. If she feels she has accomplished something, then she has.

Justin doesn't know if he should do Writing and Contemporary Cultures at UTS or teaching at Sydney. He feels confused, but he figures if all else fails he can always go back to uni.
