Justin has returned from his last exam. He finished 20 minutes early and is very pleased with himself.

Marcus greets everyone. He congratulates Justin on finishing his last exam, and on having managed to do it twenty minutes early!

To celebrate the ending of the HSC, Marcus has composed a rustic little victory tune on Gadulka for all the members of the Important: Please Read thread!

But it is too big to put as an attachment!
"Oh, well", says Marcus.

EDIT: Marcus has changed his avatar, as promised. This picture is a year old, but it is the only other 'decent' recent photo he has.

Lynn notes with curiosity that the two photos of Marcus she has seen so far could be twins living on other sides of the world - Marcus' current avatar photo shows dark skin (or perhaps just trick of light, perhaps Marcus tans easily) and apparently dark eyes (although we know that is not the case), whereas Marcus' other photo shows much lighter skin and very bright eyes. Bone structure is the samr though Lynn remarks that Marcus looks very greek-god-ish-like in his current avatar

Lynn cannot wait to hear Gadulka tune. Lynn will patiently wait for technology to make it possible for her to hear Marcus' tune easily without attachment size restrictions.

Justin comments that perhaps the light would affect how Marcus' skin looks. He states that photos taken in the dark leave people with pale looking skin, while photos taken in a bright area re more true to reality.

Justin finished Tehanu this evening and was surprised at the ending. He wishes the conflict with the other wizard (forgot his name already...) lasted longer than four pages, however. He greatly enjoyed the book, however, and will look into getting the next one.

Justin's mum said she will buy him a book tonight, as we didn't go to the club for dinner. He feels special.

Marcus greets Lynn.

This photo was taken a year ago, during summer, and the other a couple of months back, during winter. That explains the difference in skin colours. Marcus doesn't know why his eyes look darker in this one. Photo's can do weird things. And the Greek-god-ish look is because in profile you can see Marcus' Greek nose!!

Marcus greets Justin. Marcus is envious that Justin is getting a book tonight and that Marcus isn't! Marcus thinks that Justin is very lucky. He is also glad that Justin liked Tehanu!

Justin feels very lucky, as he is currently between books.

Marcus wonders how Justin feels now that he has finished his HSC

Justin feels good, although the fact that he has finished High School forever still hasn't sunk it. He supposes it will some time in the next couple of days.

EDIT: Justin will be back shortly, as he has to eat dinner (takeaway).

Marcus understands what Justin means. Marcus believes that it is a process of moving forward. Marcus believes that this is why we have "rites of passage". These rites actualise the process of change through ritual. Celebration is a rite of passage. But realising our own transition on an emotional level is quite separate from ceremony. Marcus finished yesterday and still hasn't emotionally realised the transition.

EDIT: Marcus hopes Justin has a nice dinner. Marcus isn't going anywhere for the meantime. He has to tell Lynn a story at 8:30...
