Is anyone able to rank maths std2 HSC papers in order of difficulty? (1 Viewer)

I wanna do all the hardest papers first, but i don’t know which ones are the hardest. i’ve already started with the 2020 paper, which ones next? (2019 onwards)

1. 2019 HSC Paper
  • Many students found this paper particularly difficult due to tricky algebra and financial mathematics questions. The focus on annuity calculations and mathematical modeling threw many off, making it a more challenging paper.
2. 2020 HSC Paper
  • This paper had a strong focus on statistics and financial mathematics. While some found it more accessible, the multi-step nature of questions—particularly in the data analysis section—caught students off guard.
3. 2021 HSC Paper

If you can get a hold of the independent and CSSA papers they are really good cause they test every little detail of the syllabus, making them much more difficult than even the 2020 HSC. but it all depends on the skills and well if your teacher has the papers since they are copyright protected meaning you can't really share them around.

I don't think year 9/10 math requires ranking of the difficulty

you realise there are common questions between standard and advanced? i’m basically asking which papers share the most questions with advanced. regardless of how easy something is, it can still be ranked in difficulty.
he’s a bit of a bozo but the hardest standard questions might not necessarily be the crossover advanced questions, as some advanced questions are free

just do sample and 2020-2023 tbh, you got enough time

That's true but imo I'd rather have a easy test with horrible scaling like the 2023 one, than hard one and better scaling.
isn't easy test with horrible alignment worse 💀. u get like 0 room for error
in a hard test with good alignment, ifl you get more room for error so your range of marks should be smaller given the more forgiving alignment.
