Nah, I was kidding, obviously, but it wouldn't help anyone if this man gets thrown in jail. He obviously needs help, and he sure won't get it in a maximum security jail.

I think that once you get to the point where you stab, gut and decapitate a random on a bus you are beyond the point of help.

The US is the only first world country that still uses capital punishment. I find it too severe sometimes to legally kill a criminal, especially if they have committed a crime which could be considered 'petty' in comparison to other crimes. Serial killers and the like should spend the rest of their life in severe horror instead, although there are strains of psychoticness in this form of punishment itself. I do believe there is a certain psychotic threshold which once reached, there is no return and cure.
