Not too long ago, we had an exam (for a science subject i won't name), and it was purely based on about 1-4 syllabus dot points, that cover the same basic topic. The exam altogether was out of 45 (25 marks dedicated to a model, 20 dedicated to 5 questions).
The problem here is that this exam was worth 25%, our half yearly exam was 20% and our trial is worth 30%.
I'm not complaining because i didn't do well, which isn't the case, but rather everyone's ranks seem really messed up, and students who have hardly studied all year, could manage to pull off 95-100.
A similar case occurred in another science in which a 25% exam covered about 3-4 first hand practical tasks, with the half yearly exam worth 20% and trials worth 30%.
Is this fair?
:/
