'how do you know the bible is accurate?'
'god said so'
'how do you know god exists?'
'the bible says so'
'but how do you know the bible is accurate'
'i told you, coz god said so....'

it continues on until someone quits and decides to get on with their life.

Or a never ending argument about who has the burden of proof. You'd think that if either side really wanted to prove something, they'd provide proof of it, and stop arguing over who should be.

science is based on proof, religion is based on faith. The two are totally different. imo the bible, and every other religious doctrine, was intended to be taken figuratively. Therefore there is no conflict between science and religion.

Just to be patronising, i once replied to my dad's insanely lame joke by actually saying "lol" really loudly to him.
My dad asked what that means.
Before i can reply, my mum cuts in and says "lots of love, isn't it?"
I actually started lol'ing.

omg, i know, parents think lol means lots of love!
my friends mother was talking to her friend over some sort of IM thing, and her friend was talking about how her friend had recently died
and my friends mum said: lol
thinking it meant lots of love

My parents believe that whenever im on the computer, it's because i'm doing past HSC papers online where my written/typed up answers can be marked - really i'm just on MSN.

Believed that i wrote 24 pages in total for English Paper 2.

Thinks my school uses retinal scans to mark the roll at HSC exams - had to say this because they were pissy bout me not remembering my student number.

Think i do 8 units of English

My relationship with my parents in regards to school revolves around a complex system of lies
