- Escape velocity calculation (3marks)
-Explain why Gravitational Potential Energy is negative?? idk maybe that's too "hard" (3marks)
-Observations and experiments using light have provided us with substantial information on other physics concepts which are not light. Analyse this statement (9marks)
-Photoelectric effect calculate stopping voltage (3marks)
-Analyse the energy changes of projectile motion and account for these changes (4marks)
-Analyse the limitations of the classical BB radiation curve and how Planck overcame them, include a graph (6marks)
-something about the conservation of energy in emission/absorption spectra (4marks)
-calculate the speed of light given experimental data of foucault/fizeu's experiment (4marks)
-something about the efficiency of transformers OR motors (5 marks)
-very, very basic dc motor calculation (3marks)

I think I should become a nesa exam writer lol.

this will piss me off, there's no need to explain, it's literally integral calculus
W = Fs = ∫ F ds

W = ∫ GMm/r^-2 dr
= -GMm/r

I don't even understand those stupid explanations. Just show them how to derive it with calculus if they do ask it lol

easiest one: Talk about Galileo's method of finding the speed of light. Unless it specifically asks for a reliable and accurate method

They won't specify because there's nothing specified in the syllabus but they might ask you to describe one of your own choosing

Noncalculus method: U increases as r increases, U becomes zero as r approaches infinity. Thus, U must be negative.

Prefer the calc way though

HSC explanation on the Ultraviolet catastrophe is so limited

From the research I have done this is a basic explanation as to why quantisation solve the uv catastrophe.

Quantisation means that light is made up of discrete packets with discrete amounts of energy. The energy of each photon is hf. The higher the energy of light (represented by the area under the black body curves) the less photons are required to produce that frequency. Thus there will be a cutoff frequency where only one photon would be required to produce that frequency. That produces the correct curve.

Without quantisation, there is no reason to be a “cut-off” so that results in infinite frequencies being considered.

Incredibly basic calculus explanation: some integrals converge with discrete models but diverge with continuous models, resulting in the two distinct curves we see.

i seriously doubt they would require times. just talk about separation of forces, baryogenesis, big bang nucleosynthesis, recombination and expansion. at most recombination was after like 380k years i think.
