If I was in this situation and someone added me like that (someone I barely knew) I wouldn't accept and I would be a bit creeped out but then again I am quite selective with my facebook adds.

Dude just add her and tell exactly what happened.. Seriously bro just say what you felt about her and that you couldn't say hi to her. I am pretty shy too but last year for the first time I approached a girl I never met before at a party and it all went well and I got her fb but it was nothing serious I did t want a relationship. Just add her and tell her everything

Dude just stfu, what else do you want him to do. If he thinks she is the one he should just go after her. It's not fucking creepy if he explains himself..

There is a window.

A window of opportunity.

That's long gone. It's like, if you sit next to a pretty girl on a bus, you don't start talking to her after 50 minutes of sitting there quietly. Your window is like a minute, max.

lest he be crepe-y

If anything you should listen to SD and ~the moves~ that SD has exhibited.
^ exactly.

well, most likely to be

but amen bro
But I totally agree with you as I told OP:

If you can't say hi to a girl then you aren't ready yet.

But in all seriousness, next time you see a girl like this, make sure that you do have the courage to say hi and smile back.

You have to have a little confidence in yourself mate. Confidence to smile to a girl and say hello.

I usually give any person a friendly smile (whether a male or female) when saying hi for the first time. And when you shake someone's hand, do not look a the hands but look at their face.
OP should forget and move on. And next time, they should initiate from the first minute, not the last decade like they have done now.

As a girl, I honestly don't mind if some random guy comes up and says hi to me at a gathering. In fact it forces me to believe the guy has something to be confident about (which is attractive) even if they might not be. 90% of girls would say the same thing. Stop putting us on a pedestal, we're just as nervous and insecure as you are.

As for the facebook request, I'll go with what the others are saying. You've missed that window of opportunity brah.

bad advice, talk to anyone whenever you like, if they're nice they will talk to you if they're an asshole they're an asshole

I gots an idea OP that contradicts my previous post - if you're still salivating over this girl, you COULD add her on facebook. If she sends you a message saying something along the lines of "who the fuck are you" you could reply with "I was browsing fb and saw your profile picture, your face was familiar and then I remembered etc. etc." so it minimises the "I HAVE BEEN WORSHIPING YOU FOR THE PAST FEW WEEKS" vibe. Then voila you've got a cute little convo going, if she's a decent girl then she'll be nice. Have at it.
