Hmm I can get tuesdays off for most of semester. One of the lectures only runs for 3 weeks.

Pros- one more day off, later starts for mon, weds and thurs.
Cons- later finishes, not a good timetable for work.

I might leave it as it is, to make sure I can earn money.

A guy at the timetable unit told me i can basically turn up to another lecture that is full without being allocated that time if i can't attend the one that i have been given. Is this true?

Yeah they don't check attendance in lectures, except for maybe in some small classes

I was just using the 'customise my timetable' feature to put block off certain time periods, and it gave me an example timetable of what it might look like with those changes and I didn't like it, so I just closed the window - the last official timetable I saw is still the timetable I have isn't it?

The people at the timetable place generally know what they're talking about.

Nope, sorry - you have to attend your designated ECOF1001 stream :( For ECOF, the 2 hr 'lecture' is more of a tute. According to the 2008 UoS, 30% of marks will be for an inclass presentation.
damn! i'll just tell the tutor i have work on friday that i can't get out of. I'm going today to argue with the timetable unit again, hopefully i get a guy who is a bit more responsive to my pleading.
