i think state rankers get notified individually

nah. its wed arvo. the 1st in state people get an individual call but
lol it'd be funny if they got a public call. i.e. Board contacts everyone at once from the same phone line haha

I'm pretty sure state rankings don't appear on these links, just individual HSC results. The BOS releases State Rankings in the 2008 HSC archive- so you'd be F5ing Home - Board of Studies NSW and go from there to the link, namu.

well unless one gets 96+ in the scineces and 98+ in maths and english, etc, im pretty sure that one wouldnt get a state rank, and even then it's still not garaunteed ( unless u get '100' showing lol)

To be sure, you'd need 97 chem 98 eng, and 100 maths.
some 96 don't get it for chem, some 97s don't for phys, and most 99's dont for maths 3/4u..

i know someone who got 100 with no state rank in that subject.

97+ in History (Modern; I think Ancient's a bit higher, maybe 98+)
96% (48/50) in History Extension can attain a state ranking too, as 50 is hardly ever achieved.

Nope it was released on friday last week.

It says 16th is the ceremony...so they must have found out before today.
Especially if they were from like albury or mildura or some mass ages away place.
