I don't think so. If you can manage your time well, then it should be no real problem. I know plenty of people who did/plan to do 14 units for Year 11.

I'm doing:
  • English Advanced
  • English Extension
  • Biology
  • Mathematics (2 Unit)
  • Ancient History
  • Modern History
  • Legal Studies
But after year 11 I would like to drop maths and biology and pick up Extension 2 English and Extension History. I think I want to do Arts/Law at Wollongong w/ the arts major in sociology (unfortunately society and culture didn't get enough numbers) Is this to streamlined??

And I'm Trying To Convince My School To Let Me Take PDHPE As A 14th Unit Because It Clashes With Another Of My Subjects :(

Career Choice: PDHPE Teacher, But If I Can't Get Into The Course For PDHPE I'm Fine With Drama Teacher :D

I'd recommend doing advanced English in yr 11. If you find the going too tough you can drop back to standard but you must do so before the beginning of yr 12 so before term 4 2007. The benefits are: An average mark in advanced is better than a pretty good mark in standard so a 65% in advanced is kinda like a 85 in standard. also if you drop back to standard you have had a year of rigourous study to help teach you the key concepts like poetic techniques. Finally in an advanced class your time isn't being wasted by drop kicks who are only there because they can't get a job and quit school.

Nice :) I think you could have done 3 unit maths in one year, but that's a lot more painful, as I have seen :p

fully agree with the dropkicks.

i rather like my subject selection.
except food tech.
which i only chose because i changed school and wanted to substitute maths with something. anything.

but otherwise...
english advanced
english extension.
japanese continuers
modern history
business studies
food technology
visual design

visual design being only a one unit subject (and therefore, useless),
i have to drop it.
and food tech
(thank the Lord.)

and taking up extension japanese.

Latin Beginners or Continuers? If it's Beginners, good luck with that. We had to do it for a semester as part of our Elective History curriculum in Year 9. It was difficult, to say the least. For me, anyway.

When you get in year 11, dont become devoted to subjects, i changed around heaps before settling on what i wanted to do
But it's much better for you if you're serious about your choice, be sure and settle down early.

Oh, God, you're better than I am then! I got like, 40% in my exam. It was too hard for my simple brain.
