Can you get me a job there pls.

What were your thoughts on the recruiting process that you went through? If you had to go through the recruiting process again, what would you do different either in interviews or in your preparation for interviews?

tldr - Overall it was a great recruiting process, as I expected and I would not have done anything different in in the interview or in preparation for it given the circumstance.

Correspondence was adequate, group case study and standard individual interview. The hardest bit was getting the interview in the first place. Networking and relationships was key to getting the shot given the low intake and above average competition (but lower competition than 2nd tier mc or bbib - I don't think mbb provide internships in Australia? not sure). You'd be surprised how many students actually don't bother to network lol

There was a lot of back-to-back interviews within the July+ period (banks) before this particular interview. So naturally I had been preparing for the interviews prior and reused the same behavioural answers and my understanding of m&a and market drivers was adequate. There was little marginal benefit in preparing technically for this interview nor for behavioural questions

But I did need to investigate further just exactly what the role entailed. So this involved reaching out to seniors in the role and meeting with them multiple times within a time span (the networking part - a while before interviews started)

How did you prepare?

What was the process/rounds ??
Same answer as above - prepared by finding out exactly what they did, and group case + individual

RMS has opened.

Has anyone been able to find a link for BDO summer vacation program?

BDO doesn't do the Vacationer program in Sydney (might be wrong).
Yep sounds like they've stopped doing it. They use to and they offer graduate entry jobs so that's something we may want to consider in the future.

Haven't been able to find any vacationer roles for Crowe Horwath? Did you just go to their website??

Off the top of my head, Suncorp, Macquarie, JP Morgan, Apple and Microsoft all had internship recruitment later in the year (after grad recruitment was done).

Deloitte also had a second round of recruitment for interns in the second half of the year.

Yeah most of the banks seem to open applications in July.

Also, it is probably helpful to have a bunch of firms you ACTUALLY want to work for and put a lot of effort in those application (by effort I mean network and definitely get to know someone who is name dropable). There is very little point in submitting 100 sub par applications.

All IBD/ER and other actually competitive roles open in july break.
