Animal Collective - My Girls
Basement Jaxx - Raindrops
Blakroc - Ain't Nothing Like You (Hoochie Coo)
Dirty Projectors - Cannibal Resource
Flight Of The Conchords - Hurt Feelings
Grizzly Bear - Two Weeks
Phoenix - Lisztomania
Passion Pit - Folds in Your Hands
Bat For Lashes - Daniel
Flaming Lips - Watching the Planets
those songs seems to be really popular. i hope two weeks, daniel and blakroc (best rap rock album ever) make it. i only like ain't nothing like you for Mos Def though

in no particular order:

Blakroc - Ain't Nothing Like You (Hoochie Coo)
Grizzly Bear - While You Wait For The Others
Little Birdy - Brother
Middle East, The - The Darkest Side
Paul Dempsey - Bats
Andrew Bird - Anonanimal
XX, The - Crystalised
Bat For Lashes - Glass
An Horse - Little Lungs
Grizzly Bear - Two Weeks

no. 1 was Andrew Bird's Anonanimal, tonal perfection for me

but Ain't Nothing Like You and While You Wait For The Others were big contenders for that place
Forgot about this song! I was obsessed with it for like 3 weeks.

i like lion in a coma
Yeah I love that track - always catch myself singing the end lyrics
lion in a coma, lion in a coma
who wants to smell the fine aroma,
lion in a coma, lion in a coma
who wants to use his aching bones-a
a lion in a coma, lion in a coma
who wants to run but cannot roam-a
a lion in a coma, lion in a coma
don't keep a lion in a coma

I'm predicting Grizzly Bear - Two Weeks from a horde of Twilight fangirls who recently discovered Triple J. Passion Pit will also do well, which is to be expected since most of their songs are pretty radio friendly. I don't vote in the Hottest 100, it's always the same mainstream songs picked by a flood of listeners close to the end of the year.

if it's going to be grizzly bear, i'd prefer it to be While You Wait For the Others or Ready, Able. anyway i don't think the grizzly bear/beach house song that was on the soundtrack was too approachable for the twihards.

except that you were complaining about how the twilight soundtrack had completely ruined bands like grizzly bear

i honestly dont think that twilight fans would put in that amount of effort. it would more be a case of OMG I LUZ THE GRIZZLY BEARS SO MUCH after having only listened to that one single track. i doubt any of them would be bothered any further, they are too busy salivating over the edward cullen magazine clippings they have clag guled in their black keylocked vampire journals

lol i have never heard/listened to any of these bands or songs....

oh well

=S =S
Triple J isn't very mainstream

Today FM is more for the generic audience

I hope listzomania by pheonix makes it somewhere in the list. Also, Lisa mitchell <333

i honestly can't really think of any songs that are realllly obvious contenders for the top spot this year, like.... last years list had electric feel and sex on fire, 2009 had... what?
maybe i just don't listen to the radio enough lol

it was the hottest 100 of all time.

i'm fairly certain that mumford and sons got commercial radio play, along with florence and the machine. i was surprised at mumford actually considering the swearing.

hands down fbi. i just dont listen to it as often because i can't get the best reception down here
yeah that's a big problem with fbi. sometimes if my car radio is on channel search it'll just completely miss the frequency. but i was talking about it with Pat from Lost Valentinos (i know his mum, chem teacher at my school) and apparently they have this thing that you can attach to your radio to clean up the frequency, never asked fbi though.
