It's an achievement if you finish it. The trend I've noticed is that people tend to get about 2/3 of the way through and then stop, even if they are enjoying it. :p
congrats to me :) Have finished it, wasn't too long 180 pages or something and nice moral ending too

Reading Desert Flower by Waris Dirie

I really need to find some light fluffy stupid book LOL

To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee.

Haven't read it before. :p
Oh that's one of my favourite books of all time.

I just finished Rules of Attraction by Bret Easton Ellis. Talk about fucking vivid. It was sensational. I think I might read it again tomorrow or something. You need to read it like four times for it all to sink in.

Okay so i'm sick of reading the same old books.
Someone tell me a random book (that they liked) to read and i'll try to find it at the library.

Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin. I really like it so far, it's a little like The Lovely Bones actually :)

Just read
Torments of a traitor - Ian Irvine
Knife of Dreams (Book 11 Wheel of Time) - Robert Jordan
Odalisque - Fiona McIntosh
All very good, particularly Wheel of Time
And have to read The Tempest by William S, so, so, boring.

I'm halfway through Ellis' Glamorama, and I'm thinking it's pretty addictive. I read Rules of Attraction in segments through school chapel last year. Got to read it again. Has anyone read Lunar Park, any opinions?

Ian Irvine came to our Ext English class and talked to us for a few hours. He doesn't live too far away from our school. He was interesting..

Born on a Blue Day Daniel Tammit
"A Memoir of Aspergers and an Extraodinary Mind"
There was a documentary on ABC or SBS a while back on this guy. Very Interesting!

Also have just read...
(mostly for school)
Brave New World Aldous Huxley
1984 George Orwell
King Lear
Summer Rain Nick Enright
Private Lives Noel Coward...

and then Brigit Jones's Diary (for a break!)

That would have been great!
Btw, just found out that Robert jordan, who writes Wheel of Time, of which I have read 11 books, has a terminal illness. Not going to be happy if he doesn't finish the last book! Slightly self centred i guess,

I'm wondering how big 'A Memory of Light' (WOT Book 12) is gonna be?! Jordan somehow has to manage bringing together all the subplots together before Tarmon Gaidon. He also has to finish the 2 sequels to New Spring. I just hope he lives long enough to do this.

RJ's blog

Things are looking pretty good for him at the moment. And he seems pretty determined to finish off AMoL.
Here's to hoping, anyway.
He also wants to write more on
Mat and Tuon

And if he doesn't, I'm sure there are plenty of us prepared to drag him back from the grave and kill him again. :)
