Urban students are not more disadvantaged than rural students when getting into medicine lol. If it was that easy than everyone would get 99s rurally. That's why when people get 99s rurally they are considered anomalies.
the 99 atar wasn't what I meant by 'disadvantage'. I'm talking about the cutoff and entry difficulty when you compare it to the strain an urban student has to endure to simply be interviewed.

cos of your subjects, other ppl can
this is a bit of a bad argument. moving to rural areas (or anywhere really) is a massive hassle for just med. rural education does give you a disadvantage but the change in med cutoffs defo overcompensates. in terms of the actual disadvantage though, i'm curious. what do you think hinders you? your teachers? your environment?
if someone is rich enough to do all that for med chances are they do not need med to make money

exactlyyyy. my school is like 400+ i think. its so hard to find the ranking bc we‘re that bad. and while yes my subjects aren’t even enough for people in the city, people in the city would hardly even be able to choose my subjects because their schools generally don’t let them choose them. country schools do.
i'll be straight up your scenario is not as bad as other people i know of that sure aren't in rural but face way way way worse circumstances. if you want to know more i'll msg but like nah rural is not that bad

Bruh did you miss the part where I was talking about the funding required to maintain a school... Student fees won't pay for that. Maybe a GPS school but not the majority of private schools in the state.
if its not GPS, IGSA or CIS its not a real private school

bro what do you know about my circumstances 😭😭😭
we need to rise up against BIG RURAL. these rural students complain about how they have less time to study because they need to spend more time travelling to and from school.... but they dont realize that you can actually use 3g wifi with 1mbps download for a quarter of their travel time.... these lazy rural students dont realize that going to a school that is half staffed and with 5 textbooks is actually an advantage for the lower entry for one specific degree...
