God, 14 pages of Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Tomorrow When the War Began and countless other sci-fi or young adult book series. How utterly dull.

For something different (here, I mean, not so different amongst anyone with a brain), I'm going to say John Updike's Rabbit series.

Guys, it says trilogy. HP is not a trilogy. I vote Shannara. LOTR I can appreciate why, but the language is so dry it was such an effort to get through.

His Dark Materials is incredible... but the winner here has to be the definitive trilogy of all time:

LORD OF THE RINGS

Magician trilogy, called the Rift War Saga, or was called that later? By Raymond E. Feist. Though a lot of other books continued after it, lol.

yeah riftwars is pretty good.

I might put in a good word for the saga of seven suns, good epic sci-fi if you are into that sort of thing.

LORD OF THE RINGS - if you've read it 5 times or more, you can't believe that any other series can even come close.

Some way away, but still good:
- Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy: they get weirder the more you read!
- Tales of the Otori by Lian Hearn
- Harry Potter: what can I say, I grew up with him - yes, I am of the Harry Potter generation!
- Farseer Trilogy and the Tawny Man Trilogy, both by Robin Hobb and based on the same set of charcters - absolutely superb fantasy reading!
- the Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare (3rd one out next march).

Many Many more!

One of the biggest selling authors of the 21st century? You haven't heard of Dan Brown? Are you fucking retarded? 2 of his books have been made into films? The Da Vinci Code? Angels and Demons? What the fucking fuck?
