But seriously, anyone here know about Open University, and if its any good? Any information on it will be much appreciated. Please don't post the link; I've been to their site. Was just wondering whether its worth putting on my preferences list.

Yeah a family friend's doing it.. apparently it's alright.
I'm thinking of putting it as my last couple of preferences just as back up.

Does anyone know why the IT/Comm combined degree @ USYD is 94.8 but the IT degree @USYD is 95.6? I thought they take the higher of the two degrees in a combined degree as the UAI for the course.

does anyone know how to apply interstate??

as "hahahayley" mentioned, to apply intersate you have 2 register and apply through their university admisions center....so vic is vtac, and qld, is qtac. Oh, and these are separte to your nine preferences within NSW.

That's provided i can get the 90, which is like 10% chance of happening, but since UWS give 5 extra points for us Western Sydney pplz, it mightn't be too much of a stretch.

yeah extra 5 points on law
PLUS they have subject bonus point scheme now...
search of website
band 5/6 in adv english = 10 extra..
i think legal studies = 5 extra
etc etc
but maximum of ten bonus including the greater western bonus.
