Any reason why Sydney Uni is more popular than UNSW for Commerce (Liberal Studies)?

Sydney's Commerce (Liberal Studies) is older than UNSW (the first students who studied Com lib studies at UNSW still have not graduated, so there's no figures on employment rates, starting salaries et al).

The USYD course is also far more flexible in that there is only 1 compulsory course. UNSW has 6, and is probably far too similar to a generic Bcommerce (first year subjects are identical), but with more electives for arts and science.

Really, it's like doing commerce/arts, but you also get the option of sciency subjects if you are more science oriented.

My cousin is doing comm(lib studies) at UNSW, and shes majoring in human resources, so this semester shes doing a psychology course. You can do extra maths courses if you want.

it's near redfern, it isn't actually in redfern. but that shouldn't figure into your decision anyway, the only particularly dodgy area in redfern is the Block which you don't need to go near to get to the station or whatever.

the only things that matter is that you are prepared to do all of those courses (at least to start with) should you get in, and that they are in the order that you most want to do them
