So it isn't absolute then.To edit. It isn't technically a "cap". Not having case studies will "prevent you from obtaining higher bands". Hence the cap of 12

It is. Not having case studies limits your response to a "C" which is a max of 12So it isn't absolute then.
My teacher said it was like forgetting to write about a certain topic. He told us to think of it like forgetting to comment on operations if the response asked you to comment on operations, marketing and human resources. It is. Your school ranks means nothing. My teacher said it was like forgetting to write about a certain topic. He told us to think of it like forgetting to comment on operations if the response asked you to comment on operations, marketing and human resources.
My teacher agrees with the first poster- 15 or 16 MAX.
I don't know if my teacher is a HSC marker but I go to a top 40 school in NSW so...they should know their stuff.
I got 18/20 for my trial essay with absolutely no reference to a case study. My teacher is a HSC marker too. Have hope, OP!then you didn't answer the question properly.
I'd say expect at least a 10, max of 12.expect a 10. Dw mate not the end of the world
lol i remember talking to you on fb about that.I got 18/20 for my trial essay with absolutely no reference to a case study. My teacher is a HSC marker too. Have hope, OP!
I have absolutely no idea who you are.lol i remember talking to you on fb about that.
My teacher is a HSC marker and he gave 8's to people without case studies
Good school = better teachers or at least a better cohort. Also, I thought your teacher said "no case study prevents you from getting a good band" and not "if you don't put one in you get a C.Your school ranks means nothing.
I konw my teacher is a HSC marker and that is what he said.
wtf are you on. A good band is a A or B. Both statements are the same.Good school = better teachers or at least a better cohort. Also, I thought your teacher said "no case study prevents you from getting a good band" and not "if you don't put one in you get a C.
Either way, my 2u maths teacher is a marker and he says, at the end of the day, the markers all sit together and look at all the responses and then decide what to do for each individual year. They also look through all the questions again too and if there is any confusion then there could be two correct answers and so on. What I mean is- scoring isn't absolute and it varies. Its done so OP should just chill and focus on the other exams
hahahahaI have absolutely no idea who you are.
No they are not. One is said with absolution while the other is not. One is to "prevent" , the other is implying to "stop with certainty".wtf are you on. A good band is a A or B. Both statements are the same.
And I will agree with you there. Good school rank= good cohort. Not great teachers.

I am having dinner now and I think we would have to agree to disagree. All I am saying is that I know people who answered both question 25 and 26 (i.e. both questions in section III) in previous years and still got a decent mark (according to you, since they didn't answer the question at all, then they should get 0.00). If you look back at some of those "HSC in a month" books then occasionally you will also see some entries without a case study. Not the majority- but I have certainly seen one or two.
Tbh, I think we are arguing a pointless point. Also, you don't use case studies in S3, only S4.
We can both agree, not having case studies will hinder your mark and potentially limit your mark. (Potentially because some people write amazing)
Good luck for English, make it your bitchThe person didn't do case study since they didn't even attempt section 4.
Anyways yeah I am tired (and have 3u english soon) and I agree with your last statement.
