Pretty much this. If we want more students studying STEM subjects, let's improve how we sell these subjects before they reach Year 11/12. Fixing uninspiring content and teaching in schools would be a great start.

Split screen could be handy if they developers figure out how to integrate apps for this system. For example, if the screen region for an app decreases to a certain percentage (e.g. 30%), then the UI might change to facilitate ease-of-use. It feels like this would be the only approach to use...

Samsung might be introducing these things, but they are adopted across Android devices very quickly (aside from all the fiddly features which seem to disappear in a following model). I've had the power saving feature on my HTC for over two years.

I recommend you have a chat with the academics in the faculty. Having worked for the Faculty before, I know they are really big on helping students with career paths.

The third quote means nothing unless there's a comparison made between other universities. In other words, what's the average percentage of students from disadvantaged backgrounds who go to university? USYD traditionally has higher entrance requirements, and students from more affluent areas...

Basically agree with all of this for the whole 'first date(s)' thing. And I agree with this approach for divvying up payments when in a relationship. I generally use a rough income ratio to have a fair idea of how a typical night might be paid for.

The error that the Coalition made last year was that they tried to force all the changes into one budget. The writing was on the wall after they made that decision. With that being said, either approach has it's pros and cons. A. Force everything into one budget - get all the 'unsavoury'...

Which econ units are you doing?

Is there a particular area of economics you are interested in? If you want to compare, look at the requirements for the award of an economics major. Compare the units of study available to students at USYD compared to UNSW. The uni handbooks are always your friend.

I would say so, as long as you're not forgoing any other local opportunities (e.g. internships).

Picked up Dirt Rally on Early Access. Considering how the series has diverged from it's original roots, I feel like they brought the game back to where it should belong. They only have three locales at the moment (more to be added), but IIRC there are 36 stages so it still feels very fleshed...
