    Is anyone scared ?

Okay I didn't do physics, but I'll go with bio and maths. For Biology, I found reading widely of sources and other summaries' helped me to create personalised great notes that were a mix of things I wrote and what I found. Biology is very much, if you know the dot points you are set. Applying...

    Timetables

I'd spread it more cause you have to go in five days a week pretty much with your subs. The 6hrs no break will be punish on the Tuesday. Also on the food, I have eaten in lectures or tutes sometimes depending what I have going on. Most lecturers/tutors don't mind.

A Guide To USYD's Timetables and Enrolment Variation

You will be together for wherever it says merged. But then you may observe on say a tute or something, they are not merged. And yes it is the same lecture so go to one in the timeslot :P Hate on meeeee. I should have 4 days :D

    Is anyone scared ?

OP, are you looking for any subject specific advice on ideas for study? I would love to help out :) I can assure you I'm the one that has embarrassed themselves. Trying to use your marks as some kind of leverage to be mean is stupid, it wouldn't even be acceptable if you had .95 and 98 in Adv...

    Is anyone scared ?

Firstly, I had a quick skim (see the red/the underline is a stand in for strikeout cause I don't have track changes). Maybe now you'll understand the thing about people in glass houses not throwing stones now? I left the netspeak alone as well such as 'u'. The things in purple were just vomit...

A Guide To USYD's Timetables and Enrolment Variation

For the three asking; What it means is that you are in that class with people from the subject code it is shared with. So you have class with your people and that other class mentioned there. For example, I had GEOS1002/GEOS1902 shared lectures and tutes, or shared workshops between different...

    Is anyone scared ?

People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Don't be rude. Even if you had impeccable posting, it'd be mean :(

    Is anyone scared ?

Ehhh not necessarily. See my sister and brother had an ATAR difference of 37. They both ended up in jobs they love, and being relatively successful in their respective fields. The ATAR is not the be all to end all. It isn't the determinant of your future cause if you want to do great things...

looking for an elective in the faculty of science

I know many people found PHYS1500 a fun elective. And quite easy to get a D in, even though none of them had physics backgrounds at all :)

How to calm down and actually study?

You can record stuff and listen to it while pacing. Or make flash cards and do them while pacing. Also, some high intensity exercise before you start can make you feel more settled. Or lots of breaks where you do physical exercise. I used to do fouettes in my kitchen for 5 mins in between...

    Is anyone scared ?

Hello, My first advice is that fear inhibits our best possible performance! It's normally to feel stress sometimes in life, but you have to recognise it and alleviate it and not let it burn away at you. Doing subjects through distance ed is hard, but I have a friend that received ~80 whilst...

    O Week 2014 - Sydney University

But is it really free if you have already paid for it? Dem philosophical thoughts. And of course, Cumbo scab didn't get Access. (Though I feel for you, I really don't think Cumbo kids get their share of services for their SA fees)

looking for an elective in the faculty of science

GEOS1002 is breezy as imho. I found it much easier than any of my other first year subjects (so comparing to maths/chem/bio). Living Systems, would not recommend unless you like what's in it. If you don't like plants/ecology stuff you'll hate the unit. It's not the easiest bio unit (they'd be...

    Access Card

Having an extra 100 members could mean they would have so much capacity to help the C&S program though :) I mean even an extra 10 members could help subsidise something that couldn't normally be done.

How many clubs and societies are you in?

This post is great, as always hence the rep :) Yeah in first year, I joined a lot of clubs I never went to or barely did haha. That's why this year I know what ones I want to do and which to make the time for etc. Many of the clubs/societies I'm involved in are college student club based...

    Access Card

If you're going to justify it, c'est la vie c'est la vie. I have seen them check it at the door of uni events sometimes though. Or ask for access numbers when buying tickets for things and needing an Access number for each person. I mean you can skirt it, but there's always the possibility...

Odd, I feel like I know you :P Maybe not though. Will revise my post once I enroll into my slightly modified choices :P

    Questions about Japanese Continuers

Once I learn a bit more Indonesian I should try conversing with you. But like I'm still at the pleb language stage of knowing phrases like 'saya suka nasi goreng'. To be learning Hokkien is an interesting choice, do some of your relatives speak that dialect?

    Serious advice needed :)

I disagree completely. I've always been an advocate of course first and uni second. There's no point doing a course you don't want at a good uni. Why pass up the opportunity to do what you want straight away whereas a transfer is uncertain/may end up more time at the end. And the two unis in...
