You'll be fine! Sit down have a breather. Calm down and realize your HSC isn't ruined. Listen to some relaxing or motivational music and you'll get right back on the train of the HSC.

No point in wishing death to NESA employees. Everything they asked comes straight from the syllabus. It's not their fault if you weren't prepared for the Pigeon Hole principle. Own your mistakes and realize this is just one exam. Prepare as well as you can now for the rest of them so you don't...

Yeah I mean when I got it tested I was in like year 5 so it has been ages. Maybe it's higher who knows. Hopefully it's not lower lol

That’s not what I meant. I meant that around the average ranges IQ doesn’t really make a drastic difference. Only in higher quartiles do you see a massive difference in intelligence. 127 really just above the high average range which peaks at like 120 or so but that’s it.

To be fair in a lot of these countries subjects like Standard Maths don’t even exist. Like almost everyone is doing Ext 1 and 2 level Maths as opposed to here where it’s not that many. Plus these countries also have Science subjects that are REAL science and require higher levels of Maths...

It seems everyone was unprepared for there to be a lot of 'application' type questions. Anyway it's best to look forward and do your best for your upcoming exams. Seems like everyone was equally unprepared so it's best to forget the past for now and look forward to finishing the HSC!

Since when did Question 16 get such a downgrade.. Literally questions almost exactly like this have been asked in many trial papers..

If students weren't taught it is not NESA's fault really. Regression line is very clearly mentioned in the Standard Math syllabus. Not only is it in the glossary but it says students must use/investigate regression lines in the context of data. Basically everything NESA asks is in the syllabus...

Question 34 is probably the one that got people. The wording is a lot more like something you would see in Advanced. Other than that all the questions are similar to the sample questions given by NESA.

Doesn't really seem all that bad to me. In fact this was probably necessary so that they don't have like 20 people tied 1st in the state for Standard Maths like last year.

The exam committees are completely separate. They don't share the papers with each other so Ext 1 isn't going to be hard just because Ext 2 was easy..

Yeah this. They tried this in 2014 and it kinda came to bite them back.

I mean Idk how you can get a meaning like that from ‘funsized’. Short&sassy is pretty good as well.
