Should I repeat the Prelims? I just finished my first term of the HSC course :(

You should really talk to someone about that irl like teachers or school counsellors and see what they advise you to do..

Is 99.15 considered a good ATAR?

idk, take a wild guess 99.95 is the highest.
  6. captainneuro

Do I need to have done HSC Biology to do BABS1201 at UNSW?

No it means it's better to have the assumed knowledge so that you're not at a disadvantage when undertaking the sub. It's not compulsory for you to have done it as it is only 'assumed knowledge' but it's saying having done either one of those sci subs would help. Regardless you're able to choose...

    UNSW vs. UTS Biotechnology

I’d prefer unsw, but if you’re planning on doing only an undergrad for biotech, you may be limiting yourself with job opportunities. Go through the course handbooks for each and judge the difficulty based on yourself, i’m pretty sure unsw does have more maths/chem opposed to uts, which will...

studying 10 hours a day is right or wrong

Glad you're motivated to do so, but don't. It won't be quality study for that long, for the reasons everyone above has mentioned already. You just started year 12, 2-3 hours of study is enough per day for now, gradually increase that accordingly for trials/hsc as it gets closer. Play it smart.

    Cumberland/Camperdown???

well they are half an hour apart which isn't much, I personally wouldn't mind it. All mines at camperdown, conveniently

Really bad results in first year 12 exam block

improve on your assessments/exams and don't be surprised if you get 90+ at the end of the year. Its only your first set of assessments. You can easily surpass this.

How much MAX BONUS POINTS ARE GIVE AT UTS (Sorry for CAPS)

you'll get 10 max. Uts is one of those generous unis. No uni gives 15 lol or over 10.
  16. captainneuro

6 atar points off my course

yes, they'll accept you lol. I know someone who got 32 and got an offer from western.

    Worth re-doing MX1 again?

he could achieve 96 and above in rest of his subs (including and esp eng lol) and even just get only 90 in 3u. Still would most likely achieve 99.95 that year. Just smarter to focus on rest of his subs now since he's done well enough
