BABS1201 is like a basic biology course and from what I can recall, I was in the same situation and I didn't go to the lone BABS lecture on Friday. But you didn't do any biology in high school so you may want to try and not become too complacent :-P
Echo and UNSW in general has its fair share of glitches and there have been several lectures in my experience that haven't recorded at all. As sirable said, it's a good habit but if you had one lecture only for one day, I would consider not trekking to uni.

Is the bridging course refundable if you withdraw from a certain date? You could pay now and wait for the release of results on the 21st of Jan (?) and apply for a refund. This info should be available on the bridging course website.

Definitely talk to the representatives at info day tomorrow. Ask them all the questions you posted here. Whether you need the design subjects as a prerequisite, you can google search the degree and read about it online. I don't think you would need them, possibly maths in architecture.
