    New years resolutions

I'm not denying that there are some benefits, especially in South East Asia where the Western occupation from the Vietnam War era for example has left such a heavy footprint that knowing English would help, but the vast majority of the time it's simple a case of someone getting an extra talking...

    New years resolutions

A lot of the time voluntourists become more of a burden than help to the locals who now have to correct the work of or make up with their time the damage/slopiness of unqualified teenagers. This article for example explains just one of the ways unqualified, particularly high school students...

Thank you :) Really enjoyed Love in the Time of Cholera - Marquez just has the most poetic writing and fantastical storytelling ability. Didn't really get into Of Mice and Men. I only finished it because it was a short read :haha:. I'm told I should read The Old Man and the Sea though...

comp science at unsw or usyd

They're just picking the mid point of the range given and rounding to the nearest tenth. There is also every chance that undergraduates return for post-graduate study and so would be counted in both statistics, but it leads me to believe that the 2 don't need to add up to 100% because they are...

Last movie you watched? And what you thought of it?

The Maze Runner Genre: Dystopian/Sci-Fi/Teen-Fiction Comments: Not a particularly interesting or sensical end of the world story - I wasn't sold on it by much. The movie plays out okay though, so it wasn't a total waste of time and the scripting wasn't too bad. Verdict: 6.5/10. Poster:

Last movie you watched? And what you thought of it?

Snowpiercer Genre: Dystopian/Sci-F Comments: Pretty interesting and unique plot, quite enjoyed the backstory, didn't help that the 2nd main character spoke only Korean and the "translator" machine was too terrible to make out what he was saying though. Verdict: 7.5/10, not screaming about it but...
