Which school's maths trial paper best reflects the difficulty of the HSC exam?

I thought that Sydney Grammar had the most difficult exam.

Taking selective test for Hurlstone next year?

There is no shame in failing :) If you can shove a really high ATAR in someone's face at the end of the day, that's all that matters, really. People failed at my school - 5 times. And you know what, I'm happy that failed so they can sorta push our marks up. If you fail, it doesn't mean you're...

Why selective school kids need tutors?

Tutors aren't necessary, they're like a trend now. A fashion accessory. And plus, some teachers in selective schools aren't really good and they could tell you wrong info, which is why a tutor is there to guide you. They're not super teachers you now. Selective schools only provide a...

    Subject Selection?

You don't have to study, remember. I had lots of free time + tutor so yes, time management is the key and prioritising your tasks, definitely.

    Ngo&sons VS harry's education centre

At first, I personally didn't like Truong because it didn't really follow school. Later I realised why they did that and its REALLY beneficial. It's different, but for the better.

2 years of physics in 1?

Please see this, letter to adrian piccoli, minister of education

Post it up anyway :) People have strong opinions about everything who know nothing. It's easier irritating someone than to please them. It's nice to see you're actually doing something. Btw nice marks, first at school?

    Event Cinemas??

My friend worked there... she quit because she was already working at Maccas and everyone there were adults. But I remember the pay was quite good ($15/h maybe). I think the may reason she quit was that they gave her really late hours (12pm-ish) while she still had school.

HOME OR LIBARY - which is the better place to study for you?

This is why I love Liverpool library. But yes, food + library = potentially perfect studying conditions imo

    Please critique short story!

Oh as long as it's not used in HSC... also I don't feel the 'love' from the characters if you know what I mean.

    JRAHS General Maths

I guess there, you're either good at maths or you're not.

    HSC English and Originality

We learnt originality for EX1, and from what I remember, nothing is 'original' and that all texts are borrowed in one way or another. Basically, they want the writer (you) to have some sort of an opinion. All textbooks and teachers provide you with information, and it's up to you to form your...

    Study Snacks

    change of school <2>

Move :) I think you'll regret not moving than staying. It's a wonderful opportunity into the 'unknown'. I took that leap and I'm very happy where I am.

Use LOTS of textbooks: 2 or 3. All of them have pros and cons such as wrong info, inaccurate style of questions, etc.
