    Science degree

If you're thinking about science and commerce majors but you don't want to do a double degree - consider commerce (liberal studies) - you could major in finance + do the science major you enjoy + a few arts subjects

    The Shittest Movie Ever.

Good Night and Good Luck - while not one of the GREATEST film of all time - is superb and is an absolute masterpiece, especially when viewed in the context of After The Bomb. So I wouldn't use that as an example of bad text selection by the board...

    Chemistry Versus Physics

yeah I get what you mean but i think the syllabus change in 2000 was good in expanding the scope of the syllabus to include modern ideas - it gets students who were originally not interested in tertiary science interested :P anyways, what is it you know about 'real physics' that makes you...

    Should I go to Usyd?

Orlly? Usually people prefer UNSW > USYD > UTS when it comes to commerce. But really, the degrees are pretty much the same with each uni having different strengths. You should go to the uni open days to get a feel for each uni's culture and pick the one that bests suits you.

Semester 2 USYD Chatter Thread 2013

exactly right. in fact, many of the staff are participating in the strike because they're fighting for one out of many proposals put forward by the NTEU.

HPSC: A science or a social science?

Personally, I think this subject is a science because history and philosophy allows us to examine the core essence of how modern science was developed - and without this perspective, obviously modern science wouldn't be what it is today. It is important that scientists of the future - scientists...
