Hey :) In the Board of Studies syllabus there is at least 60 indicative hours of classwork that is required for all students of English Extension. For individual study, I've been aiming to study EX1 for at least 2-4 hours per week :) I hope my response helps. :)

Slaughterhouse V is a very famous satirical novel, which compliments very well with the ideas about slavery presented in Mark Twain's work. If you're interested in short stories, then "Harrison Bergeron" r. is a good example of satire! A short read and lots of symbolism. :)
