  1. Q

    Anyone know of extra curriculars?

no it's not easy to learm. I don't think it's the best idea to ham up on the extra curriculars to impress fort street (as evidenced by your other posts on the site). Explore your own interests and see where they take you. This will make you a much more well rounded and vibrant person.
  2. Q

Pathways into dentistry that don't require UCAT?

If you do bio and chem, la trobe uni has no ucat.
  3. Q

    What is senior science

Senior science is a ghost of christmas past. It used to be super basic like yr 10 stuff (i.e. mayonnaise is an emulsion etc). The rule for senior science was that either: a) You chose it as your only science in year 11 b) You downgrade to it from chem/phys/bio/earth in year 12. A certain...
  4. Q

To the people who are saying cancel the HSC Exams.

can't they just do 10 kids per classroom with open windows? 1 teacher to supervise let the other grades have a mini holiday
  5. Q

    speech pathology at macquarie?

Macquarie also allows you to pivot into Audiology after the initial first 3-year degree if you would like to keep that option open.
  6. Q

Year 11 marks for early entry?

ANU gives you an ATAR prediction for their early entry.
  7. Q

Year 11 marks for early entry?

ANU is a written early application and has different mechanisms. SRS is different.
  8. Q

Year 11 marks for early entry?

No. They tend to be quite generous.
  9. Q

Year 11 marks for early entry?

SRS needs an 'application' but it is rolled out automatically to those who applied and are eligible. You do not need to write a written application like you would for other schemes.
  10. Q

Year 11 marks for early entry?

If the uni requested it, that's perfectly fine. However, the SRS system (these are automatic offers somewhere in november?) uses your yr 11 NESA report. Other early entry schemes which are run by the uni themselves (like macquarie leaders/achievers) may request your school report.
  11. Q

BPsych (hons) at MQ or USYD?

Big nope. In terms of Psych, the most employable degree is the one that allows you to have the best chance at doing honours/masters. Since there are very limited spots in Psych masters degrees, any grad is VERY employable. Note that is is a grad of a 6 year program, not just the 3 year initial...
  12. Q

BPsych (hons) at MQ or USYD?

Whichever you prefer. I have heard good things about the MQ Psych program. Note that honours isn't guaranteed (even though it's listed in the degree). You will have to meet certain academic criteria regardless.
  13. Q

Year 11 marks for early entry?

Yes they are. There's no specific cut off for grades but you certainly don't have to be a stellar straight A's student.
  14. Q

    unsw psych hons?

You are in year 11 so the advice I'll give to you is to do your best. However, don't fixate on one particular university. Consider ALL your options. You'd rather go into a Psych(Hons) program at a less 'prestigious' university rather than doing a Psychological Science program at a 'prestigious'...
  15. Q

Year 11 marks for early entry?

They use the Students Online grades.
  16. Q

    square roots of complex numbers

You were able to evidently show all steps clearly. The formula doesn’t.
  17. Q

How is $80+/hr a justified rate?!?! Tell me your thoughts + why

They get paid per patient - no patients no pay (of course). Medicare pays about $37 per patient just for a consult. If they do extra things like draw blood or write a referral, Medicare pays a bit extra. So they do have an incentive to churn and earn.
  18. Q

How is $80+/hr a justified rate?!?! Tell me your thoughts + why

Pay doctors like teachers then see how many 99ers have a sudden passion to "help people"
