    Help please

    1) I believe postgrad (JD Programme) law might be a bit easier than the undergrad (LLB Programme) to get into. In saying that, you can always apply to transfer into law after studying another degree for a year. The JD Programme is a bit more intense than the LLB Programme. With the LLB...

I personally prefer micro but that's just me :P My friends enjoyed macro a lot more. If you did HSC Economics then it will be like that :)

Which is easier to do well in /more interesting out of MARK1012 and ECON1102

Marketing is easier to grasp but lots of content. Micro isn't too challenging in terms of the concepts but they can be more difficult to grasp compared to Marketing concepts. It depends on what kind of student are you. If you can work independently and do well then do Micro. If you work...

The new degree Arts and Business/Law at UNSW

If you are certain on law I say pick either Arts or Commerce. The new degree is more for those who are uncertain where they would like to go.

Is Miss E Sarofim for Torts any good??

I believe she is new. From what I heard she is currently working (maybe she left) at Ashurst. Sorry I don't think anyone can answer this question for you as this is her first year teaching.

    Criminal law

Yeap I would do that. I know it's a bit disjointed but it's the best way to ensure you cover all the elements of the offence :)

    Criminal law

Actus Reus - is the physical component of a crime. it usually involves an act but can also be an omission Mens Rea - is the mental component of a crime. It's usually the intention to do something however, it's not always the case. You can recklessly do something and mens rea can still be made...

    QUICK Law citation help

My answers would be. Wood v The Queen [2012] NSWCCA 21 (24 February 2012). The rule here is that *medium neutral citations use [] instead of () *only last names for party names *the full date must follow the citation e.g. 24 February 2012 (this is the correct approach but in reality no one...

does you wam get reset if you transfer through UAC programs and faculties?

tbh I don't see why it would reset. You are going to the same uni and so the marking standard will be the same. The reason it resets when you change unis is because the uni doesn't think the marking standards are the same.

Which of the 4 flexible cores are the easiest/most interesting?

From my understanding you learn about Torts and Contracts in Business & Law. This is essentially what you do in a law degree. You learn other areas of law too of course in a law degree. The LEGT courses later on, yes, are quite different from Law.

Should i drop law? Feel so under pressure and sick all the time because of it.

Yup it is very different. First semester of law is not even law tbh. It's like a history lesson on the legal system. When you start Semester 2, you will learn substantive law e.g. was this person negligent? That said some courses are still like ILJ e.g. Crime & Criminal Process is mostly...

Which of the 4 flexible cores are the easiest/most interesting?

Just curious what made you decide to do Business & Law? I remembered you posting up a thread earlier saying you hated law?

    Lecture clashes

From memory, ASB has a policy of not approving clashes unless you have very good reasons for them to approve it e.g. Final Semester. My friend who tried to get a clash approved was told by ASB to do one of the courses during another semester. They would not approve that clash unless he was...

    Are these lecturers good?

D Harley is a funny guy and explains stuff well. However, he never finishes covering the course content.

How to cope with law course I'm failing and hating/struggling want to discontinue

Attendance for law lectures is the same as attendance for tutorials. You must attend 80% of your law lectures otherwise you won't meet the course requirements. In terms of classes this means a maximum of 4 classes can be missed. Do you hate law or LAWS1052? There is a difference. In my opinion...
