That is when the first group of students can enrol. It doesn't necessarily mean you will enrol that day. As you are a first year, it is very unlikely that you will enrol then.

Um you can by not taking your law courses and instead take commerce courses only. It however, means you will stuff up your law study plan :(

For law some courses do get harder and some are more black letter law. Less historical crap and more straight forward :)

^I dont think so for Com/Law. You need to be at the stage of doing electives. So for Com/Law that would be 3rd Year for Commerce and 4th Year for Law.

Given that it is an open book exam. You are better off writing your own notes so you know better where to look at when you have to refer to your notes.
