I don’t think controlling cases will matter anymore by then. The expectation is that the 70% fully vaccinated threshold would have been hit well before then to enable a reopening more broadly, regardless of case numbers.

I don't think the question is well written. If we want to be more technical about it, the problem lies in how you actually define a “square root” of a complex number which is a bit beyond the syllabus. Strictly speaking (i.e. in "pure maths" speak), a square root of a number a, is the solution...

I actually think that if lockdowns occurred before the age of social media there would be a lot more compliance. Social media has made it much easier for alternative voices to channel through to other people, not the other way around.
