I don't think I'd ever burn out but who knows? I'm just not the type of person that would neglect other parts of life besides study and work. I can't focus all my time on work anyways lol.

Yeah if it's off timetable then the class usually has a vote if the teacher allows it which is pretty fair I reckon. I think some ext 2 classes even have a lunch class once a week or something because that was a preferred time. I go to a selective.

It varies with different schools but mine were in timetable and I had it twice a week. And ext 1 was compulsory in year 11 so pretty much everyone did it then. Ext 2 classes ran off timetable though but it depends on the teacher for times.

I have this teacher who always talks about her family and health issues... It's kinda hard because people feel like it'd be really mean to just tell them to stop wasting time/telling stories so we all just suck it up and pretend to be interested.

You should check with your school calendar? I think I start on 30th.

It's probably due to a number of factors but I think its mainly that there are heaps of people choosing the subject without having much talent in maths but taking mx2 simply for the scaling. I've seen quite a few people do terrible in the subject but refuse to drop it because 'it scales well so...

Can't get into med school easily either. OP should take the offer unless they want to try postgrad med. Btw OP, you should decide for yourself what course you want to do, not your parents. If you don't like the course at uws then choose to do postgrad.

I've only fulfilled a few of my 'progress goals' but I guess that's alright. Study goals are way harder to stick to though.

If you really wanted to do medicine, then you wouldn't really mind how 'prestigious' a university is. Anyways you get a free ipad if you go uws. If you don't like the course there after you've started it then you can just apply to move to another university later.

The only time I had to do one was in Year 9 but I guess it varies with different schools. I think we had to write a research report in Year 10 but it was very short.

I think the library wouldn't be a bad idea, even if you will have to carry all your study equipment there. In a sense, you'll only bring your study stuff rather than the extras that could distract you as well. Studying at school could also be good and it doesn't even have to be the school...
