    Reliability, accuracy, validity

    1. Reliability 2. Validity, reliability, accuracy (all of them are related to this) 3. Stupid question - not really related to any of them. 4. Accuracy Don't worry about this, it's a stupid question - pretty bad to see in a textbook.

    Option topics

You'll see...it's basically a bunch of random chemical tests, vague common sense crap about forensic chemistry (ie don't contaminate your sample because...), a bunch of definitions (how cellulose is different to starch), and fairly vague discussions about some more analytical techniques (mass...

    BSci/BArts and BSci

There's only a maximum of 60cp of junior units - unless you do BSc (Adv), then it's 48cp. You can find this on the Science Handbook. Sent from my LG-P880 using Tapatalk

    Subject Reviews (with PDF compilation)

This is a review from a friend of mine... CHEM2911 Molecular Reactivity & Spectroscopy Adv Ease: 7 Nothing particularly difficult, just a huge amount of content so it is pretty hard to keep up with it all and remember anything. Labs were also fairly easy and while the reports were daunting at...

I just got asked out by someone...

Give the guy a chance - go on a date with him.

Yeah, Di Warren is an exceptional lecturer - easily the best in the whole department. Honestly, out of all the lecturers I saw in maths, she was the only good one.

    Usyd First year maths

Advanced would be about 30%, 30%, 20% and the rest P/F. What you need to consider is that advanced students are WAY better than regular students and assuming there's still scaling, they consider all maths students as one class but advanced gets scaled way ahead.

    Usyd First year maths

    Probably about 2%, 15%, 30% and the rest P/F.

    Subject Reviews (with PDF compilation)

Of what is counted, top 6 of 12 "questions" that you make up, top 3 of 4 quizzes and all of your essays count. Even with that said, the assessments are an academic disgrace - particularly the questions that you ask.

    Subject Reviews (with PDF compilation)

CHEM2404 Ease: 7 It's not a particularly hard course but since it's very poorly taught with mostly content that seems quite random, it can seem very hard. The first topic involves forensic chemistry, some techniques used to detect substances and things like that - what you'd expect, really...

Quick question regarding ions and flame test

You could pretty much do a flame test by itself and use the spectrum to determine a variety of ions present but scientifically, you typically want multiple tests to point in the same direction for it to be reliable.

Enrolled unit of study not showing on timetable

It should give you instructions - if it doesn't work, well, gg.

    Option topics

Forensic chemistry is quite a bad topic, to be honest. I would avoid it.

Career in science and studying science in uni? ADVICE NEEDED

Science doesn't have an incredible job market but it's not extremely bad like pharmacy and some other fields. If you're really worried, you might be able to do something like a BA in Economics and a science subject which can open doors in both fields, if that's what you're into.

Sydney Student how to add majors?

Mine works fine, you should probably contact the uni for this.

Does the history of chemistry taught in Year 11 matter in Year 12?

I recommend at least knowing it briefly - they are still allowed to test everything in Year 11.

    Chemistry Help

I could probably do 2000 words on this stuff. If you go through the NH3 route, you might want to mention how you need very high pressure/temperature for nitrogen fixation but bacteria and enzymes can do nitrogen fixation as what is effectively room temperature and pressure - that's a route of...

    Titration questions + answers needed

You should just look through past papers, there's not really much they can test you on.
