    The airlines still recommend you keep your phone completely off, even though it is in airplane mode. Reason for this is probably that it further more reduces the risk of someone disabling airplane mode and using 3g capabilities. Eh to the OP, I dunno, I'm just going to log online when I'm awake.

    Still got a P4 and runs word processing and internet browsing perfectly fine - even runs basic games like age of empires II and just runs Halo 1. bought it in 2001.

    If the system suits the user's needs then I don't see why it wouldn't be suitable to keep for 10 years. E.g. this gen of consoles or word processing computers.
