    thoughts on these courses?

It's not extremely difficult or anything, for me it's just the number of hours I have. I had 30 hours per week of class/lectures/labs per week last semester. I think I have about 34 this coming semester. *Dies*

What is so good about Usyd?

Lack of computers? You're not looking hard enough. Access cards, I agree however I believe that UNSW has a similar system. ARC I believe it's called. --- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5LeAqeRxYZk <-- usyd science is pretty cool lol (off topic)

HELP ME USYDers! Commerce Units of Study?

You look like you're all set. I think when you go to enrolment, they might make you stick to their structure. If so, when uni starts, login to myuni and withdraw from the ones you do not want to do and put in the units of your choice. They can't really stop you. ECON1001 and ECON1002 can be...

    What to Buy?!

Why don't you just use the facilities at uni or your current machine at home? You're only going to be doing basic stuff anyway. Don't rush and waste a few grand on expensive hardware and software on a whim like that.

    How often do you study?

During the semester I usually don't have time to study since there's always an assignment or task due. Hardcore cramming during stuvac.

    The best thing about university?

Freedom. You get to learn about things that you are actually interested in. Not as many annoying idiots around as there were in high school.

B Computer science and technology @ USYD

Practicals would mainly consist of writing code, designing websites, networking, playing AI, possibly go into circuits and embedded systems if that's your thing. The only Science you would touch would be junior mathematics. Although, you might decide to do computational science or...

B Computer science and technology @ USYD

Same thing as B Software Engineering or BIT without the qualifications or work placement/internship or B Science (Computer Science). From what I have done so far, it is quite easy but it tends to get really boring. You do not require any background in programming unless you want to take the B...

What is so good about Usyd?

I'm from the western suburbs, I made friends with other people from my area. The rich kids are really hard to get along with. But they're mostly arts and law students. Rarely ever on their side of campus.

    Which Engineering is the Best?

I don't think it's fair to say that a certain engineering stream is better than the other. But since you're doing Medical Science, have you considered Biomedical Engineering? http://cusp.sydney.edu.au/students/view-degree-page/degree_id/41

    Sage Thread

Just because you don't have to attend lectures, it does not mean you shouldn't. Unless the lecturer is shit.

Whats the point of Advanced/Harder Courses?

It may be a requirement for certain degrees. I do advanced units for the fun of it. It's interesting.

    Double degrees- A heavy load??

Yeah, I am doing 5 units of study because I dropped Commerce and those units will not count to my degree. Nevertheless, I'm still going to work part-time and I also hold executive positions for two societies at uni.
