After playing around with the ATAR calculators for English (Dux, Matrix, Einstein, HSCatarcalculator), anything greater than 85ish produced very different results. Is there any scaling data on this?? The scaling report seemed quite limited (top 1% only, even though this region is roughly the top...
I'm the opposite, found the MC and that square question relatively easy, then had no clue when it came to the last question (only scored like 3/15). Get the paper back tomorrow though, so I'll attempt them again tomorrow night.

Judging by the questions that were scrapped for being 'too easy', I'll slowly build up confidence until the 9th/10th/11th of Octboer, then all of it will be gone :P

Let's say you have a term ( n n-r)x^n-r * y^r, should you right it down as (n r) x^n-r * y^r? Or would markers recognise them as being the same (I always right it as the first term, guidelines are always saying it's the second).

If you're talking about inequalities with the unknown on the bottom, one method is to multiply both sides by the square of the denominator. Squaring both sides in an inequality can lead to issues. Eg

While acids do contain a H+ ion, be careful on how you define it. Currently, the accepted theory is Bronsted-Lowry, where an acid is defined as being able to donate a proton (H+).
