    CSSA MX2 Trial

    Were you meant to do x-1/x = f(x)? Since it's a square? That's what I did *shrug.

    CSSA MX2 Trial

Thought it was a pretty easy test besides Q16. Hoping for 80ish% (skipped 13 marks of Q6).

So the marks are going from 120 to 100

Any thoughts on what will be taken out of the exam to compensate for the lower total? Hoping for less random harder 3U q's, seem to be losing 20 marks on just those (70% of my total marks lost).

    Electrochemistry Help plz!!

After emitting a beta particle, its mass number will remain the same (227), but it's atomic number will increase by 1 as a result of beta emission, meaning it will be Thorium 227.

    CSSA Extension Maths

    That's extension 2, not 1. MX1 is only 2 hours.

    CSSA Extension Maths

I'm scared the questions will be alot harder since there's less marks in the same amount of time.

    Atar Estimate

Mainly on externals because not many people around you will provide you with a strong safeguard, meaning the mark you get in your external is likely to be your assessment mark too. Definitely enough for 90+ if you go well.

CSSA Paper 2 - English Standard

Re: CSSA Trial Paper 2 Standard Straightforward, Owen question a bit weird, was ok though.

    Atar Estimate

15 people doing MX 2, but only 6 do MX1? Also, too hard to tell, will depend on externals

    Is moderation absolute?

Just realised the source of my question answered it later down the page, accidentally skimmed over it, anyway: "There are a number of safeguards in place to ensure that all students are treated fairly by the moderation process. In particular, some students are initially excluded from the...

    Is moderation absolute?

Let's say two people are in a course, person A and B. Person A comes first internally, but only receives 60/100 in his final HSC mark. Person, B however receives 96 on his final assessment mark. Will moderation still give the highest assessment mark to person A? "The top assessment mark is...
