    Law and Economics universities

I know that UNSW has an Economics/Law program (link) but its ATAR is just as high as Sydney. Macquarie offers a degree in Economics with a lower ATAR, and it's my understanding that you can add Law onto the end of any degree (Economics, Law). If that isn't the case, they do Commerce/Law which is...

    How to unenroll?

In myUNSW, look down the left sidebar for 'Program Leave and Discontinuation' or something like that. You can put in a request there, all you need to do is select which degree you want to drop and select a reason.

    underfilled tutorials

I've been in a tutorial with only about seven people before, so it may well be run. If you're really concerned, you could email the lecturer, but they'll probably contact you if there's a problem.

    UNSW Subject Reviews.

I think ECON3104 is more similar to ECON2102, and ECON3101 is more micro-based. EDIT: I haven't actually taken either of the courses, I'm just guessing based on the past course outlines.

Is it usually possible to switch between highly differing study modes?

I don't know about distance ed, but I think that switching between full time and part time is as easy as enrolling in fewer subjects. There shouldn't be a problem with that unless you're an international student or involved in some other kind of program which requires you to study full time.

    LEGT courses

I decided to do LEGT3761 in this past semester, and I enjoyed it. The content is easy to understand and you can see how it's applicable to the real world, which can't be said for all subjects. And the exam was open book, though I got the feeling that isn't always the case. I would recommend the...

Where to go for past exams? - Commerce Core Courses

Search for the course code (eg ECON1101) on the library website. There may or may not be past papers available. There may also be some provided on Blackboard within the next couple of weeks.

Various Commerce Degrees - Pros/Cons, Student Experiences

I'm doing Commerce and Economics, and I chose that so I could do three majors (Finance, Business Law and Economics). My reasoning wasn't career-based, and the extra time at university didn't factor into it. I just liked the look of all three, and saw a way I could do them all. I think they give...

    Finance Electives

Almost - I got 80. I did get an HD in FINS1613 though.

    Finance Electives

Though I don't like group assignments much, it's only 15% and I'll agree that FINS3625 doesn't look too hard, and it's the only one that fits into my timetable this semester. It might be somewhat useful as well, which is a nice perk.

    Finance Electives

I'm doing FINS3630 this semester, and it is still multiple choice. There are four short quizzes and a final, as well as participation marks. I've found it an interesting subject with lots of talk about risk management, but I will agree that it's not difficult. I would also like to know which...

enrolment appointment for sem 2. sem 2 class times

What does it mean if the class times have disappeared? They were there when the timetables were first released, but now under Semester 2 it's just blank. The top part of the page still says the course is scheduled for offering, but the fact that there's now no classes would seem to suggest...

1st year semester 2 unsw commerce courses help!

I did LEGT1710, INFS1602 and FINS1613. I really enjoyed LEGT and FINS (those are my majors, though, so it's to be expected), but INFS had lots of group work and the content was sort of annoying. I don't know if I would have liked any of the other flexible core subjects though, so INFS was the...

Ipads? An investment or a waste?

I have both an iPad and a laptop, and I bring my iPad to university almost exclusively. I find my laptop is a bit heavy and cumbersome, and the iPad allows me to type or draw or annotate PDFs, which is everything I'd need to do in a lecture. It's also easier than a laptop if you want to be...

    LEGT courses

I'm trying to choose between two electives for my business law major. - LEGT3761 (Law of Banking and Finance) - LEGT3771 (Information Technology Law) Has anyone done either of these before? I'd like to know how the content might compare in terms of interest and difficulty, and if a past course...

Which cities have direct UNSW buses ?

The M50 starts at Drummoyne and goes through Rozelle, and the 370 starts at Leichhardt and goes through Newtown and Green Square. Neither of those are the quickest ways, but they're usually not too crowded outside of peak hours.

Course Outlines for LEGT2751 and LEGT2741

I have LEGT2741 from Semester 2, 2011. There may be a couple of annotations, but here's the link: http://www.filedropper.com/courseoutline

Would You Recommend B Commerce at UNSW?

Q1. Lectures are interesting if the subject is interesting, and just okay if it isn't. Tutorials are just like school, for the most part. I've attended pretty much all of each, though I think that's rare. Q2. It doesn't have a bad reputation, so I guess that's what matters. Q3. I'm doing...

    Taking Notes in Uni

I use an iPad with GoodReader for PDF annotation, or Ghostwriter Notes if I want to write or draw. I started out printing the slides and writing on them for the first week or two of my first semester, but I find that if I have any piece of paper I will definitely lose it, so having everything in...
