Recommending a tutor/private college near the Blue Mountains

I want to improve in English Standard & Japanese Continuers. Does anyone know a good tutor or a college near roughly the Blue Mountains that is reasonable price and is good for those two subjects?

    Coaching rates?

Was about to go to a tutor to help me with Japanese, $30 per hour, $50 for 1.5 hours. Reasonable. Then I went with someone the same price for an hour, but she was horrible, didn't help me, just gave me the answer without explaining why so, and it was a waste for an hour and a half. But I felt...

Is it too much to be doing ancient history and modern history ?

I have two friends who are doing both histories, and they are perfectly fine. Occasionally they get load of work but I think it's because of the teacher. Like everything else, use time management and it shouldn't be hard. as long as you love it then go right ahead. I chose Modern thinking that...

    student teacher relationships

I think it's suitable once out of school, finish the HSC, because theoretically, they don't alter your marks based on how good you are in the bed. You know what I mean? Also, once out of school, it's a different atmosphere.

    State Rankers!

My sister used to go there. She went there just for Kindergarten then my family moved and my two older sisters and I, all went to the current school I go to.

Do we really care about english?

And how does congruent and irregular triangles help anyone with basic life skills?

Do we really care about english?

I am kind of glad maths isn't a compulsory subject unlike English. I dropped maths and everyone is telling me that I will get a bad ATAR and that I will need maths for everyday jobs. But if you think about it, if you know your addition, subtraction, dividing and times (the four basic principles...

    State Rankers!

I will be laughing so much if I get top in the state in any of my subjects, especially Standard or Japanese. Then after I stop laughing, I will refer the people at the Board of Studies, "on drugs" when it came to marking my paper.

Is it better to do 12 or 10 Units for HSC?

I agree. I thought I wouldn't mind Modern History, because I was reasonable doing histories and I'm dropping it because I hated it and I am terrible at it.

Is it better to do 12 or 10 Units for HSC?

With Extension Japanese, make sure you are prepared to do the work. Know the text Spirited Away really well, because that's half of your exam for the HSC (check the past papers and just look through them, to see if you CAN physically do what is required). I have a friend who is doing her HSC now...

Time flies, anyone else feel depressed when you think about primary?

I remember these year 7s were talking about how hard Year 7 work was. I laughed because Year 11 work was 10x more complicated than their work. Then I realized that I was old.

Should I be actually worried about the HSC?

Nah, I am not doing Extension. Would like to though but the Head teacher said it was too much work and marks aren't there yet.

Should I be actually worried about the HSC?

I hate Modern. It's really boring and I just don't find what we are learning very interesting. With the misadventure form, the Head Teacher will find the mark that I would of gotten and if the mark that I would of gotten is higher than the mark that I got, then it'll be my exam mark. The reason...

Should I be actually worried about the HSC?

So I am dropping Modern but my marks are really poor - mainly English & Japanese, and it's hard sometimes to concentrate and I don't get certain things. I do Japanese through Open High School and I get no feedback on how to improve, so most of the Year 11 Structures go right through me and my...

    Private tutor vs. company??

From my experience with tutoring, it was terrible. It was pretty much went like this - her speaking fluent in Japanese and I only picked up a few things and she expect me to translate it back into English and her level was pretty much Extension/Background speakers. When coming to my work for...

    What counts towards your ATAR?

In other words, it bridges the gap between 1st & 2nd etc? T.T"

What is the hardest HSC subject?

Coming from someone who doesn't do maths, Extension 2. But from all of my subjects, Japanese. Mainly because I do it via correspondence and it's slightly raping me because I am slightly struggling at it, not as much as Modern History where I have no passion for it (hence why I am dropping the...

12 units but failing a subject

I'm doing 10 for the HSC 2012. I am dropping Modern because I am really terrible and hate the subject with a passion. The school refuses me to let me do Japanese Extension cause of my marks. So it's kind of good focusing more on my two BOW (Drama & Art) as well as the other 6 units. More free...

    What counts towards your ATAR?

How does ranks count towards your ATAR? It doesn't make sense. I been told that just say if you got 80 in Economics and someone else has got the same mark as you, but they check your English results and that separates you from the other person. T.T" But yeah, everything that you did in year 12...
