FYI: It's Society and Culture not Society and English ;) I think SAC is a great choice for a career in journalism- i think there may be a unit about media, but i don't do it so i don't remember. You can only do Extension History in Year 12, but you have to be doing Modern or Ancient History...

Just remember that your Study Timetable isn't a strict thing to be followed- it should be more of a guide of what you should be doing.

True- hearing my sister's opinion on the HSC Chem course I agree with you. But those who do physics (at my school anyway) are usually all doing at least mathematics, usually extension- it's unusual to find a general maths student in a physics class (kudos to anyone who does)

Doing all three sciences (or doing any combination of three sciences) can be detrimental as usually the science tests are all around each other (like a few days apart). Yeah we had a PBL teaching system for one course, but that was in Yr 9, and you could elect to do it to replace one of your electives for roughly a term. It was a weird course. I'm interested to know how PBL would work with Prelim and HSC subjects though. I just can't see it happening.

Every school is different as said above. I'm doing 13 units too but I have no study periods at all. :( Sometimes though, if you're enrolled in a course that has fewer people (like 9) but still runs then you might have fewer timetabled periods with a teacher for that subject. It's called...
