yeh legal doesnt scale well because its an easy subject, but i think people are referring to UAC scaling rather than HSC scaling.

Its probably an attention thing, you know, more people are likely to respond to the post if its some sort of a challenge, and hence you get what you want (a solution) quicker.

just decrease the font size and margins - it always works well. having said that, if your teacher's really big on the word limit + picky, try and stay within 1300 words.

when you say "change preferences", does that include changing the courses, or is that just changing the order of the preferences?

i think that naturally talented people are able to do just as well in the hsc, but usually don't put in as much effort, simply because they don't need to/don't see the need.

last year's hsc papers were so much easier than most other years. which probably means that this yr's papers are gonna be hard. way harder.
