    People/Planet Units

I'm in the middle of picking a 4th unit for the 1st and 2nd semesters. I'm receiving credit for previous study so I think I can get away without doing some electives so I thought instead of just leaving it at 3 units that it might be a good time to get at least one of the People/Planet units out...

    First year history units

Personally I'm doing AHIS170 because I want to major in Egypt/Near East. So that's what I based it on. I'm considering doing 110 as an elective but am a bit weary that doing 2 history units could be a lot of work.

    Credit for Previous Studies

Ah okay. Well that's the main thing. EDIT: Got mine today :)

    Credit for Previous Studies

Nope, still waiting for mine as well. If it doesn't come today I might give them a ring.

    Textlist - not up yet?

So I looked at my textlists for the units I'm thinking of enrolling in and I noticed that it says status and then either Reccomended or Text. I'm guessing the ones that say Text are the compulsary ones? EDIT: Oh wait nevermind, that's what it says on the bottom :P

    Trouble Deciding Major & Minor

Oh so I could do that even though it's not part of my planned major? That's cool, I might look into that.

    Trouble Deciding Major & Minor

Oh right cool :P Just realised if I pick Egypt and Near East I might have to learn Hieroglyphs *gulp* hope it isn't too hard! lol Migh be fun though.

    Trouble Deciding Major & Minor

Ah excellent. Sociology is interesting, didn't occur to me that they'd reccomend that. Cool, thanks again. I think I've decided to major in Egypt and Near East rather than Greece/Rome. It was a tough choice. Unless Asylum, you have some stuff to say about Roman history that could swing me...

    Trouble Deciding Major & Minor

Thanks for that ac91. I'm thinking of majoring in History and minor in English as well. How many units are you doing in first semester? 4? Also, I know that for the major it needs to be 24 CP's, what about the minor? How do you know which units are compulsary for the minor and major? Ah, so...

    Trouble Deciding Major & Minor

Cool... thanks for that. I just want to be a little more prepared for Enrolment Day and firgued I should try and make up my mind. Still undecided... I had no idea you could do Society and Culture, I just came from studying journalism so that might be something to consider. As for that last...

    Trouble Deciding Major & Minor

I'm doing the BA/DipEd this year and I'm having trouble deciding whether or not I should major in English and minor in Ancient History or vice versa. I don't know if I can change my mind once I've started maybe that's possible. I just wanted to hear from some students who have done it or are...

    Textlist - not up yet?

I had no idea books would add up to cost this much. Maybe it's better to wait until classes to see if they're actually compulsary or reccomended. I wouldn't want to fork out so much money for a book that isn't completely necessary...

Anyone have a full list of university offers?

HSC I think. I got an early January offer (non-HSC student) and I'm not on the list.

    Enrollment.

Macqurie's enrolment stuff is the week before O-Week. Academic Advising is compulsary.

Has anyone ever had or known of a teacher qualified in both history and legal studies

Re: Has anyone ever had or known of a teacher qualified in both history and legal stu Really? Why do people always harp on about what to study because there are some specialisations that need more teachers compared to others. Subjects like English and Maths I've heard are where more teachers...

Guys, what the best thing to wear at the gym?

Yeah, will definately steer clear of grey and white I think. Thanks for the feedback.

Guys, what the best thing to wear at the gym?

New to the gym scene and I'm wondering what guys think are the best types of clothes to wear?

    Macleay College

Ah right. Well, it is a pathway... albeit a very expensive one. I'm not too sure if people went from the Diploma to Uni but I personally did the Diploma/BA and will be going to Uni this year doing something completely different. I was actually at Macquarie today lodging some forms to get some...

    Macleay College

I'll be honest and say that I did enjoy the course. Pros... *It's quite practical and in retrospect, it was very easy. *You learn a lot of the basics which should be enough to head straight into the work force the year after. *There are some subjects are a waste of time like...
