Pretty much. :/ For the last two years I blocked out a lot of sessions and kept at it for a couple of days before I got the classes I wanted. But remember that some classes are full and that some students want the same classes you do. :)

@Weeber Keep blocking etc when customising your class times and you may get the classed you want. Keep at it for a couple of days until classes start.

I've never come across that. There is a limit to how many times you can vary your enrollments though.
