How do you do your timetable/choose your units of study for 1st year?

Some units are "compulsory" as it may be a prerequisite unit for a capstone unit or senior/intermediate unit that is needed for the degree/award requirement and majors.

    Subject Reviews (with PDF compilation)

ANAT2008 – Introduction to Histology: Like BIOL1003, you touch upon many different organ systems but at the microscopic level rather than the anatomical level. The unit requires an objectification to classification style of learning eg. bile is made by a specialised cell in the liver –...

Oh but you know us anatomists, physiologists and immunologists have the best ~bad~ puns in comparison to other science/medical science fields. :P I was planning to do something else and replacing WRIT too (like another SCLG unit). I want to do MUSC so bad... I'm missing the sticky touch of rosin...

    How was your enrolment day?

I believe there is an enrollment feedback questionnaire that gets sent around... many of us have requested the process change to an online enrollment but it is a working process. :) Sent from my GT-I9100T using Tapatalk

Human biology vs concepts in biology?

Should have asked LHS and I a few months ago! D: Go to BIOL1001 when Danny is lecturing. :D Would you like to come cry with me in cranial and cervical anatomy instead? :P @OP: For MND I believe BIOL1003 is highly recommended. Both units are very interesting and that being said if you wish to...

    Choosing Electives?

I've done SCLG1001/1002 - both very interesting. I would say that SCLG1001 is better than SCLG1002 mainly because of the topics eg. gender, social class and education. However it is a subject you need to keep up with everything (going to lectures will help with the final exam especially if Dr B...

I did not get a good chance to look... too much MBLG for me. ANAT shall keep me sane... *names all the gyri and sulci of the brain*. She says it is an enjoyable unit - more enjoyable than PHSI and IMMU. :) I'm not bothered to check class times... hit me with your best shot Timetable Unit...

    Bachelor of health science subjects?

I don't know for B Health Sci... but I would presume first year and second year core units will flow with one another. Best to check with the advisers on the day.

    Help please!!

So for units/subjects there are junior levels typically studied in the first year and then intermediate/senior units (2*** and 3***) from second year onwards. Junior level units (1***) provide background knowledge for senior units typically. And yes on the day of your enrolment you'll be picking...

    Bachelor of health science subjects?

It'd be in the handbook. There should be a study plan example you can follow and info on what is required for your award and for units/majors. :D For B Health Science there are core units and/or elective units you can choose. But I don't know what the course structure is like so its best to...

What units do I choose? SO CONFUSED

No problems. There will be help on the day if you need assistance deciding on your units and how to enrol etc. Just be sure on enrolment day you'll bring a list of units you'd like to study for each semester, IDs and a pen - it takes up to an hour tops to get enrolled and also bring a water...

What units do I choose? SO CONFUSED

For one semester as a full time student 3-4 units and for a whole year its 8 units so 48CP worth... units are worth either 6 or 3 (for the Bachelor degrees and 6,4,3 and 2 for Masters) so each semester requires up to 24CP and each year up to 48CP so make sure you do units to fulfill the CP...

What units do I choose? SO CONFUSED

Scroll down: http://sydney.edu.au/arts/future_students/courses/undergraduate/arts.shtml Follow this guide for first year units. Pick 8 Junior Units from Table A or 6 from Table A and 2 from Table B - you'll know what I mean once you check your handbook for 2014. Second year onwards units are...

Good luck with Neuroscience... Remember Foramen Magnum where the brain stem connects to the spine and Foramen Ovale - it holds either V3 or something else I cannot really remember (it is also in the heart so don't get confused between the two)! I'm doing 2nd Year SCLG, WRIT and ARIN plus 3rd...
